Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

This has been already proposed for the developpers of the new forum , not sure if the idea got accepted or denied . It's up to theymos to decide => https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=622992.0
But if you ask for my personal opinion , then yes I really like the idea of having a "Thanks" button . you could simply use it when you want to say thanks to someone with no need to post or bump an old thread . can prevent some kinda of spamming .

Maybe for avoid the posts like : +1 , thanks for the topic, etc...

However insted of like, it would be better the "Thanks" button.

No, I do not support this idea. If you want to have 'LIKE' button you can use Facebook. I do not use facebook and would not want that button here on forum.

As I said in the other thread, Thanks and Like are not the same thing.

If we had a 'like' button how long do you think it would take before people start selling 'likes'
As redsn0w said, maybe good to avoid the +1 post but not really useful.

+1

Edit : If there was a '+1' button, I could have avoided this post.

Would be good to have some sort of indication if a poster is credible and respected, or just posting crap all the time to make a significant campaign quota.

There is a suggestion already open here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=622992.0. You can take a look over there, it has already grown to 6+ pages of discussion.

Yes i think its a good idea. Some will get the idea how many people liked his thread.
But if there is a liked button then there must be a dislike button.

The like button will be very useful its kind of say thanks or something like this and it can really reduce spam .

for me its not a good idea....I mean to say that it is not a social networking site...it is the place where all the cryptocurrencys and new site were discussed between user to user...so we should thing something which can help in discussing to topics more smoothly....like how about a bitcointalk apps for android

No, I do not support this idea. If you want to have 'LIKE' button you can use Facebook. I do not use facebook and would not want that button here on forum.

I haven't read the other thread HeroC mentioned, but it is my impression that the "like" button won't actually influence what posts you are shown in a thread; it will merely show some sort of indication that others appreciated your post. Perhaps that could lead some campaigns to try and work with this new system, leading to "like" buying, but I don't see that the overall forum experience would be negatively affected by this.

I wonder if a more specific set of buttons would be a good idea though - instead of one generic "like" button, a few buttons, like: "useful post", "made me laugh", and so on.

I think we need a thanks button for avoid the spam posts like : +1 , thank,  etc....   It would be a nice feature in the new forum software.
