Greetings fellow newbies.

This is my new offering to the bitcoin gambling community http://satoshiroulette.com/

Currently in public testing stage, everything should work but dont be surprised if something breaks.
One I am satisfied the public testing stage has gone well I will up the maximum bet and remove the warning.

Please message me in the forums or reply to this thread if you need help.

I may regret this but anyway here I go...
Quote
Q> What clients are supported ?

A> Atm only bitcoinqt and blockchain.info wallets.

Why isn't every other bitcoin client not supported, I mean it is bitcoin addresses so I can send them from any bitcoin client, wether or not your software messes up is on you and not the client.

we operate in a similar fashion to satoshidice (no relations).

So any client that creates what is considered a normal tx (ie uses its own unspent inputs when creating the tx) will work, currently that is all I have been able to test.

mtgox for example will not work.

cool site Smiley
I just tried it out now won on 'odds' - Bet 0.1 and won back 0.20000027

will be interesting once you increase the limits.

good luck with it =)

*edit* just out of curiosity.. what would happen if i did send it 1btc (or something over your current .1 bet limit ? )

*edit again* - just a suggestion aswell, but you might want to move the FAQ.. it surprisingly took me a little while to find Tongue

I suck at site design Tongue, thats me at my absolute limit - fortunately the html person is nearly ready I just beat them to launch Wink

If you send over the max bet the system refunds it to you (at cost to the house for the tx).
Later on the tx fee will be deducted from the refund Wink

How do we verify that you're rolling fairly?

Also doesn't roulette have quite a high house advantage (~5%, not sure what satoshi dice is by comparison).

Cool project though.

Hi Gaff, you can verify our results once the secret is released using the formula present in the FAQ.
The secret will remain static while under public testing and be released at the end.
Once the game is out of its testing stage we will announce the secret on the forums during scheduled monthly site maintenance. The game will be shut down ant no bets played until the the maintenance window is complete and the old secret announced and new secret generated.

Satoshidice I believe use ~3% , apparently they were suffering losses at 1% so the house edge was increased.

Roulette does indeed have a ~5% house edge, our game is 5.26% house edge (currently).

Other players have noted that the European roulette table has much finer odds, we will be running this as 1 of our alternate tables but most likely with a lower max bet than the US style table due to lower house edge.

Thanks and hope to see you at our tables soon Smiley
