Hello people of Bitcointalk forum,

I opened this topic to get insights and opinions on the future of mobile Point of Sale.
I would like to hear opinions and smart debates on this topic.
What is the future of POS?
What could be the next generation POS?
Is it too mainstream?

Please discuss, would like to hear different opinions or constructive criticism if anyone are interested!

it stands for that too, but right now im talking about payment processing point of sale (POS). For example, a company called square where you pay using ipad instead of the old cash register. and there would be dashboards and analytics for the owner of the business etc.

It's definitely something which will become more and more important, since there's really not much point in carrying a wallet just to have the information that could be easily available on the smartphones that most people possess.

What about safety issues? like from the backend maybe. Of course it is true that it is easier for people to do a cashless transaction and they do not even have to bring their wallets.
Hmm, i wonder how would these mobile point of sale evolve in the next generation.
