You probably haven't heard about it yet because, as the dev said in an interview:

"The developer also decided to stay away from Bitcointalk Forums, since they might get a lot of drama from script kiddies and trolls that wouldn’t help Rimbit at all," So let's do him a favor and talk about his coin here.

Apparently it's an altcoin that gathered 110,604 USD from an indiegogo campaign. Why all this money? To launch the coin. Oh and guess what the reward perks were in the campaign... RIMBIT COINS.

Trolls, speculators, suspicious people, altcoin shills as well as everyone else, you're all invited to jump abroad this thread while we're on a quest to find out more about what's so special about this coin.

What makes THIS more special that any other cryptocurrency?

Were funders from indiegogo conned from an ICO?

Speculative tools you might need along the way:

Dev has all the coins, I think they call this one the long con. I think what he is trying to do is wait for cryptos to have another bubble, then unload onto unsuspecting investors. I can see a few coins just like this one. I wonder if its the same guy? Maybe Marinecoin dev as mentioned above..

Does it hurt the general cryptoscene? YES. Does it steal investors from real coins and scares them away afterwards? YES.

Rimbit is a scam, no doubt about it.

This just shows why CMC is a joke.

Currently at #13 with $5M cap with $47 24h volume?

If CMC allows that, then someone sell me $1 worth at $100 apiece and it'll have a market cap of around $11,274,068,181.

Look, it's higher than Bitcoin!

click on "Volume (24h)" to get the real picture. Then the numbering goes #1 #3 #2 #4 #5 #94 ... with that #94 currently beeing BitCNY, whatever that one ever is. It's trade volume is exceeding it's Coin Market Cap  Shocked today

There you get a feeling what just gets all pumped up.

Oh back on toppic, IPO scams are common it is new news to see crowdfunding sites getting dragged into that misery. Not exactly the kind of advertising Bitcoin needs out there.

Rim a bit!  Cheesy

"The existing Visa credit card network processes about 15 million Internet purchases per day worldwide. Bitcoin can already scale much larger than that with existing hardware for a fraction of the cost. It never really hits a scale ceiling."  Satoshi Nakamoto, April 2009          Avoiding taxes is totally legal if you consider and respect the law.
