There a roughly 3 types of people.
1) People who have never built anything useful in their life but have taken a hammer to destroy someone else work repeatedly and feel "good" about it. Driving forces for them are stupidity, greed, several delusions, anger, narcissism and all the other negative shit you can come up with. This is the category for sociopaths like BCX and his brow-nose sock puppets. They are small minded people who are in constant need for attention. Only way for them to get any of it at all, is to be a total asshole. They are really good at it.
2) People who have built something or helped someone to build it. If they see something is wrong, they will help you to to fix it. Good, happy and hard working people who feel great, when they do something good.
3) "don't really give shit" type of free-rides who are just lazy and probably not too bright. They do not take a hammer and start destroying others hard work but thy never contribute willingly to build it.
Technically, if someone contributes over 50% of the hash power to LTC, then that someone gets to do whatever he/she likes with it. They can force a new client onto you (or block you from mining or block your transactions from being confirmed). That is the nature of Bitcoin style currencies. Democracy in action. It doesn't really matter if a 51% attack succeeds at this point, I think everyone agrees that Litecoin is very vulnerable to one.
Oh, and you forgot a fourth type of person.
4) Gamblers who speculate on currencies they don't understand and get enraged when things don't go their way.
