Where does the link imply trouble for China? It notes that China dominates with 67% trading volume, saying that OTHER markets were facing regulatory hurdles and so forth.

There is no future for bitcoin in China.

China is very different from rest of the world.
They have democracy in economy but dictatorship in politics.
So, if bitcoin will not be political issue for Chinese government, I don't see why there is no future for bitcoin in China.

There is no future for bitcoin in China.

There is! At least as long as the yuan isn't fully convertible. You've got to show your passport to exchange any foreign currency in China, and when you leave, the amount of yuans you're taking out it limited. BTC means freedom to Chinese people.

I used to be a citizen and a taxpayer. Those days are long gone.

There is no future for bitcoin in China.

While you say that you must know that Chinese investors are investing in buying hardware and setting up pools, etc.

Their share of the total Bitcoin network is only increasing. They don't do that without a good reason  Wink

They already have too many dollars.
It would be good if they decided to diversify into bitcoins.

Just because a CTO resigns and another exchanger got hacked it doesn't mean that the whole bitcoin community is going to be dead

Banning might be a little bit harsh. Regulation will do.

I don't think it will make it up at all . What I think it's gonna happen is that all the exchangers will gets hacked before th end of the year and China will finally decide to ban Bitcoin forever . Still I don't see what the hacker would earn (if he is chinese) if china bans the Digital currency .

China wont ban bitcoin, im pretty certain, since theres many profits yet to be made from it, but im guessing some strict regulations will come soon enough.
And with all right, because this hacking of exchanges every month or so is getting kind of stupid. This is not getting clients happy and secure.
The soone the better, then we can move forward

cheers

Either it gets ban , either no one in China will use Bitcoin anymore (by choice of course) .
I don't think Clients will be sitting and laugh while they are losing shitload of money . So new people (who are willing to join btc) will simply don't even think about joining Bitcoin community anymore and for the new & old adopters they will simply stop using those exchangers .
