So I've been awaiting on my $100 for 3 weeks now(3 weeks and two days to be exact) in paypal only for it to get reversed back into the spendbitcoins paypal account
I ask to get a refund and they tell me they can refund my Bitcoins at the current USD rate which would come out to 13.83 BTC
My original order was 14.95 BTC

What a bunch of bullcrap......

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

While I do agree that it is bullcrap, your best bet would be to try something other than Paypal. Paypal is infamous for this kind of thing. I'm sorry for your loss though.

Yes paypal wasn't the best option, I could have went with a bank wire transfer and lost $15 in the process and got my money quicker now that i think about it in the end i would have came out with the same amount but 3 weeks less.

Honestly you're lucky to get anything back, chances are if paypal reversed it, they've probably lost a lot more if they've been frozen.
Losing 1BTC is better than you losing the entire 14.95

Paypal used to be useful for trusted members to trade with, now it is not even useful for that.

And if Spendbitcoins sees this, changes their policy to make the refund return a constant number of bitcoins, and the same thing happens while prices are falling for a month, then people would be complaining that they thought they were done with their BTC when they paid for the paypal and were not expecting to get $80 worth of BTC back for the $100 they put in.

You can't have it both ways. Looks like Spendbitcoins has chosen their policy and if you don't like it you can always buy a speculator bond on the GLBSE to simulate your desired risk profile until Kronos.io comes out.

Argumentum ad lunam: the fallacy that because Bitcoin's price is rising really fast the currency must be a speculative bubble and/or Ponzi scheme.

I was most frustrated with the fact that the paypal review was pending for so long(3weeks and two days exactly) and I believe it could have been fixed with a quick "login to paypal" because a few days before the announcement about "amazon and paypal" being back up the transaction went through. They claim it their account was suspended, maybe it was maybe it wasn't, I'm not unhappy with spend bitcoins in particular, but its mostly a reminder to me and others that the paypal part of "spendbitcoins.com" isn't exactly a walk in the park. I have had mostly good transactions with spendbitcoins, its just the paypal aspect of it is worse then i had expected.

I'm the type of person that likes to read others experiences with businesses instead of being force fed what i should experience during business transactions(referring to advertisements and such) and I'm sure sometimes that comes off with "The whole business sux don't use it... go somewhere else", zis not the case.but to anyone that wants to use spendbitcoin+paypal, it wasn’t very enjoyable but that's what you get for dealing with paypal.
