.. neither is trusting random people to honor their end of a 1000 BTC bet - I wouldn't be surprised if the people reneging eat up all your profits.

That's why I won't trust random people with this.

No, in BTC. Please see Meni's original post - I'm offering the exact terms, only in the opposite direction, with the contract still in BTC.

You're not going to make a killing on that. The lowest ask is .025, so at best it's a 4:1.

You're not going to make a killing on that. The lowest ask is .025, so at best it's a 4:1.

Ah, didn't catch the current lowest ask.  They've definitely traded lower than that over the last few weeks, though.
