I am interested in compiling a list of businesses that exclusively accept Bitcoin. Businesses that exclusively accept bitcoin are a value added asset to our community as they are more likely to not immediately cash out and any person doing business with them are incentivized to buy bitcoin first. These are the businesses we should value and support first and foremost as they are placing their trust completely in our ecosystem.

Please exclude these businesses: illegal drug and murder for hire , porn, ICO's , mixers, securities, ponzi's, cloud mining companies, hot wallets, payment processors, scam or misleading goods or services, and gambling sites.
Some of those goods and services are important for society but should be listed in a different directory.

Preliminary list :

Of course, This list is essentially any non gambling/porn/drug site that accepts BTC and rejects all fiat. If they accept multiple crypto currencies that can actually be a good thing unless the currency is a scam ICO. If they accept another crypto and not bitcoin , that belongs on another forum or the alt section of this one and I'm not interested in adding it here.

Thanks, I added those to the list.

Cool, but we will revisit when they actually go through with that promise.

I was clear about the benefits of btc only businesses in my first post. Of course, it is impossible to know what a business does immediately after they receive the Bitcoin and most likely convert a percentage of their BTC into fiat for practical reasons but if they would go to such an "extreme" to turn down fiat there is a greater probability they are likely to keep a greater portion in BTC or not convert any to fiat altogether.

Flippin' Awesome, You guys are the best! added most of those. I suppose I left off that we should narrow down the list to also exclude  cloud mining companies, online hot wallets, ponzis, securities, ICO's.

Basically, I am looking for companies that sell normal goods and services that only accept bitcoin. I have nothing against some of those categories but I am trying to create a list of "normal" businesses.

Nice idea, but you may divide it into several sub-lists.
One sub-list for porn and drugs, one for gambling, another for computer equipment...

Or am I the only one not to have any interest for cryptosextoys?

This was one of the most outstanding things I have seen on Bitcoin talk in the past 12 months actually. A great Idea and a post that deserves stickied. These businesses need to be not only known in this community but used by us for as much as we can use them for. Thank you inBitweTrust, you have done a great thing for the use of bitcoins in a way other than trading them for some quick cash. I just wish there were 10 times as many places.

Yes, I agree. This is just a preliminary list, that should be turned into a complete directory, or added to an existing one. Probably a good idea to keep the darkweb and illegal products and services separate though as not to offend the sensitive.

What will be great is also to have a section of goods and services that only sell a certain type of product or brand for bitcoin and no other competing store sells a similar product in fiat.

Apparently this directory site just launched:

Looks brand new, so guess it'll take time and new entries for it to be more comprehensive.

Good find, and bookmarked but It unfortunately doesn't differentiate between businesses that accept both BTC and fiat from BTC only ... so investigating each business would be a nightmare.

To reject all fiat these companies must ONLY accept payments in and pay their expenses with bitcoin - do all of these companies satisfy that requirement?

I doubt it.

The economy isn't large enough yet to be able to completely abandon fiat.

Darkmarkets ?

... are great , but should be another thread.

To reject all fiat these companies must ONLY accept payments in and pay their expenses with bitcoin - do all of these companies satisfy that requirement?

I doubt it.

What is more likely is that most of these businesses likely keep most of the BTC net income in Bitcoin because the owners have a day job or other businesses which pay them in fiat.  Technically, you can live completely on Bitcoin nowadays but the reality is that there are at most 3-6 million of us that use bitcoin and most don't spend it regularly thus there just isn't enough people buying with BTC.... This doesn't take away from the reasons we should support them and the value they bring to the community however.

Why is that ? Its also a business in itself, just not completely legal.

The legality of the business doesn't concern me per say (whether something is ethical or not has nothing to do with whether something is legal or not)... The only reason I want to keep all those categories out of this thread is merely because there are so many examples and I don't want this thread to be diluted in a sea of porn , cloud mining , gambling and illicit drugs sites.... It is merely a point of focus so we can hunt all these categories down first without the distraction of sorting through all of those other examples. Make another thread or I will do so next week if you don't.

Far from it. I'm just not into toys, but I'll be happy to take your lady to a swingers' club.

It would be nice to start, but if you're old enough to remember the early days of the web, there were several directories 20 years ago, and I believe they're all gone. What has survived is large retailers which also sell stuff from smaller ones. This may be an example to follow.

I used to be a citizen and a taxpayer. Those days are long gone.
