The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Ancap here. This is just what happens when there is an unaccountable violent monopoly provider of security services. It's exasperated because the provider of security services is also the monopoly provider of justice. So what we end up with is abuse. Want to stop this? Break up the monopoly and allow free and open competition in security and justice services.

I came to say this, though I am not a leo.

Fortunately the age of modern media and internet is allowing all to observe and a bit more transparency to take place with the law enforcement. It's no surprise they are already trying to shut that down in several states..

The fact they even try to stop documentation of their crimes demonstrates how stupid they really are.

Stupid? No. They simply abuse their power because they know they can get away with it without too bad of consequences. A man beat a fifteen yr old girl for kicking her shoe in his direction and being a little "uncooperative" even after they had her in the cell. He simply had to shut the door, instead he went back in and tackled her into a wall. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bDzQ8Vay3Pg&playnext=1&list=PLDD0182EDC95D3425&feature=results_main
When someone has power, they always abuse it. As is the case with every government on this planet right now. That includes the wonderful U.S. of A.

My cousin was murdered by a state trooper. Trooper was responding to a minor traffic accident and had no probable cause to enter his home. My cousin asked for a warrant they didn't have so they kicked his door in, pepper sprayed him in the face, and shot him once in the heart. He was unarmed and died in a pool of blood in his doorway. During the trial his story changed from his grand jury testimony claiming that my cousin opened the door and assaulted the other trooper that was with him. Multiple eyewitnesses testified that that never happened and it was never mention before halfway through the trial. The trooper was acquitted and given back pay. He's still on paid leave pending a federal investigation. I'm guessing he gets away with it.

Murder your citizens, pay off families with other citizens' tax dollars, rinse blood off hands and repeat indefinitely. Fuck this country.
