Just saw the whole episode by Morgan ..

I felt the episode is actually pro bitcoin even though he tried to be neutral in his take on bitcoin..

The episode covered broadly on 4 aspects..

buying bitcoin- from bitcoin centre

Spending bitcoins - in local shops and how some shops and services are not aware of bitcoins

Mining bitcoins and some explanations about the blockchain

Regulations and dark web stuff and finally

Future of bitcoin.

Future of bitcoin is  an interview with Andreas antonopolous in which he termed bitcoin as third wave of internet revolution..

Could have been still better if some venture capitalist like Marc Andreeson and Tim draper were interviewed for future of bitcoin..

my opinion is that this episode will seem little noob for you, but definitely the best documentary about bitcoin for your mom, dad, grandpa, granma if you want them to know about bitcoin..

Recommended Must watch

from my research, the video was done last year and was going to be released on CNN mid year, but with the whole price dump and financial fears, cnn money decided it was not the best time to release it.

but now that it has stablised at what many people consider a collective opinion that bitcoin should be around this price. cnn money decided it was time to release the show and get the public awareness up so that they can start talking about it more just as the winklevoss and other 'wall street' people start coming in on the action

I DO NOT TRADE OR ACT AS ESCROW ON THIS FORUM EVER.
Please do your own research & respect what is written here as both opinion & information gleaned from experience. many people replying with insults but no on-topic content substance, automatically are 'facepalmed' and yawned at

Yeah, I was wondering why they took so long to show it, as the price has fallen a lot from the 600 range they're talking about. But I'm sincerely glad they finally showed it.

I was telling people to share it with their friends and family (and I did to mine), the youtube link made it that much easier. Morgan retweeted someone linking to the youtube video himself, so maybe it won't be taken down. Who knows though.

Although not a fan of the presenter I think it was actually one of the best shows I have seen about Bitcoin (that doesn't come across as being created by "fan boys").

I particularly thought it was great that he bought a fake Rolex using Silk Road 2.0 with the help of an (ex?) FBI agent.

With CIYAM anyone can create 100% generated C++ web applications in literally minutes.

It was a great documentary, pretty objective. The regulation thing is indeed a problem. People don't want to get robbed without possibility of finding the chiefs.

I almost puked when that Senator said how we need to arrest and bring to justice those who steal from people. Well you politicians didn't do so well arresting those so far involved with known billion dollar financial crimes. Was that the FED he was stood outside?

Here is how I imagine it happening: old Rockefeller or whoever is in the control looks at Bitcoin and says: "holy shit you mean we can track everyone using this forever and basically assume control of the network with enough equipment, shill it to the moon!"

thats how mainstream came to love and accept Bitcoin.

I just finished watching it. Was pleasantly surprised. Seemed pretty fair and well balanced overall and I think the mainstream who will watch it will feel the same and hopefully it'll pique their interest to delve in deeper.

Was expecting some snark or some dismissal or this is monopoly or funny money or some biased slant...but this documentary piece was surprising positive!

Morgan Spurlock does a fine job, no condescension, and actually transacts with Bitcoin like he intends to throughout.  Wish they'd show more Andreas though.

What I'm saying is the establishment has allowed billions of dollars possibly Trillions of peoples wealth to be stolen by inflation and other very real financial crimes that have resulted in no arrests. Google too big to jail.

The point is hes a hypocrite, that makes his whole credit means shit.

You cant collectively choose to enforce law on only one group of ppl while turn your eyes blind on others. If you look at the damages alone, financial crimes from banks and cooperation alone is 1000x the bitcoin marketcap alone!

This whole thing was a joke. If you look at the addresses he used in the coffee shop, they literally have 2 transactions. They havent been used since filming, it was a BS thing.
