Have two.  Used for about 2 months of mining about a year ago.  Both are working, one I took out of my PC last night to make room for an expansion card, the second one I will take out when it sells.  This is the reference version.  It also includes the crossfire cables.

I averaged about 375-420 MH/s with each one for a total of 675-800 combined a year ago.  Maybe the drivers are better now.

Asking price is $400 cash, or 50 BTC.  Includes priority mail shipping anywhere in the US.

Be fearful when others are greedy, and greedy when others are fearful.

that price may have been deliberately set high to give you some haggle room, but 5870's sell for around $175'ish on ebay, and that's with 12% in fees

I'll give you $120 plus shipping for as many as you can come up with...

Seriously guys.  If you feel the need to bid below ebay prices (AKA Lowball) please don't.

I'm not a crackhead, nor a heroin addict, and I am not desperate for the money.

what does this signify?

you're agreeing that the price was deliberately set high?

i agree $120 is too low, but something like $135-$140 is an offer that should be considered

Don't know whats so lowball about it... <.< I've bought 4 5970s in the past month anywhere from $200-$250 shipped. I just offered what I thought was fair.

So let's see. $175 x .88 = $154. If you expect to get over that, or anywhere near that price on a forum filled with educated buyers, just get the listing up on eBay now and save yourself the headache. I bought an Asus Matrix 5870 for $130 shipped. The two guys who have posted offers are about the best you'll get.

Good point.  They're both up on ebay now.  If anybody makes a decent offer with BTC etc. maybe I'll still sell them here.

the smart way to list on eBay would be to put it at at a $170 buy-it-now, and don't take offers on it.  that should sell

straight auction has a moderate risk of ending under $150

those are the ones i like,  the $125's, $130's etc

If it happens that way, it's fine, thats the nature of the beast.  But to take the first lowball offer that comes in is not smart Smiley  I might get some moron on ebay who has a compulsive spending problem shilling out $250 for it, who knows.  They've both got 30+ watchers each, so I'm not worried about it.

Like I said earlier, I'm not a crackhead, nor am I desperate for money Smiley

It's just that in our current situation (as miners), ASIC and the block reward halving leave the future very cloudy in terms of profitability. We simply can't go spending more money than we will make before it's no longer profitable.

or go paying like 20% more than what they sell for on ebay, where the buyer has more protection

anyway,

http://www.ebay.com/csc/Graphics-Video-Cards-/27386/i.html?LH_Complete=1&_nkw=radeon+5870

it looks like the general consensus is that used 5870s arent worth $200

i guess put 'BITCOIN READY' and you might get more for it

The great thing about capitalism is you don't have to buy anything you don't want.

PS your link was awesome! I love how it showed the exact model I have, but for Mac, selling for $275+!
