ooo rarrr people are angry that this coin exists.

Honestly and in all seriousness.   This has been the ONLY coin I have ever participated in that the dev has communicated clearly and openly.  I'll just leave it at that since obviously my opinion is as valuable as the angry peoples. But there it is.

My eyes are hurting from all that red... if you feel you need to reply to a fudster then at least don't quote them over and over... you can "Report to Moderator", who will take out the offensive formatting but the best thing to do is to click on "Ignore" under their name...

VNL is totally a scam.

VNL scammer locked the vnl thread soon after it was released. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=890388.0

In the beginning ,the VNL dev made this coin can be mined with single  core with each IP.

Now the pools and GPU miner are released .

@Dev,what's f**king are you going to do ?? How many coins were corrupted by you ??

Be alert, everybody!! Keep away from this dirty coin!!!!!

I've been following this coin since day one, and John-Connor made it very clear in a post
that if he detected a gpu miner on the network he would "deal with it" to keep mining fair
and release his own gpu miner for the public. He did exactly what he said he would. He told
you that if you were mining with more than 10% of the nethash of the pool, 90% of your
coins would be donated to the faucet. I was one of the first to use the gpu miner once
he made it public, and I have 10 gpus. Of course I started them all up, but as soon as I
read that, I stopped mining with 8 of them, because I KNEW I would be over 10% and
donating. I donated plenty of coins to the faucet that way, but I am not crying about it.
The dev made it clear from the start he wanted fair distribution and was penalizing or banning
ips of botnets and abusers. In the early days of mining I used a laptop and two old desktops,
I found that I was getting less coins than by just following his rules of two computers per
ip. Yes this coin is different in that you can't just instamine it, if you don't like that then there
are plenty of coins released every day that you can go rent GH or PH and rape.   Hell now that
the 10% rule is gone, you can go to mining rig rentals and beta rigs, rent all the whirlpoolx rigs
and continue your obsession to get all the coins.
VNL is completely a clone of Libcoin. You can check the source code by yourself.

He locked the thread and allows only 1 core with 1 IP  in order to mine with high performance cpu (or gpu ).

This is definitely a scam without any doubt.
Dev has stolen too many vnl over the past months.

Such an unfair distribution will lead to scam.

airball, you do realize that it is the same dev and he called it libcoin when he started it.
He created it from scratch over many months. Stop trolling and fudding.

Why do you say that?  I did some quick comparisons of the latest github source trees and there is some similarity, but it's certainly not a simple clone.  It looks like a reimplementation based on some of the structure of the standard bitcoin daemon and Libcoin.  Seems like he put quite a lot of work into it.

I used Peercoin as the reference implementation and nothing else. If you cannot tell from the source code that this was a massive effort I cannot help you. Cool

Thank you for your support.

To anyone interested, Airball was trying to game/cheat the no asic/gpu system at the start of the coin which led to a ban from the network and he lost coins. There was a global concensus system in place to which everyone agreed to, which led to a fair cpu mining period.

He is crying on the vanillacoin.net forums nonstop and is threatening to start fuding if he doesn't get his coins back. We are trying to explain to him that he shoud have read the forums once in a while, while mining the coin, but he was never there, he doesn't know what we are talking about.

Give us a wallet adress Airball, I'll send you 1 VNL if you stop talking.

With just a few small tweaks, the source just uploaded today on github builds on mingw64, and it even syncs fine!  Great job :-O

Nice, and John just finished the work with the C-cex devs. They should launch VNL soon.

I don't think so.. C-Cex is good to dump - nothing else.

Poloniex/Cryptsy/Bittrex would be my choices...
