Back in June 2013 I tried to buy an alpaca sock with Bitcoin. Got scammed multiple times just trying to buy my first bitcoin haha. Finally resorted to using bitquick.co to buy and sell safely.

At first though I tried making a safer trading thread and all kinds of stuff. I got hacked from Mt. Gox for like 22 BTC. It was a ROUGH introduction. I actually got lucky and made like 5 BTC return by Chinacoin and BBQCoin if anyone remembers those  Roll Eyes

Heard about Silk Road back in 2012 and thought Bitcoin was interesting, but never pursued or dived in just yet.

In 2013, is when I dove head first, and got into mining, buying, reading and researching, etc.

Now, I'm all in.

Of course, all in, passionate, learning about it, trying to be involved anyway I can.

Not investing my entire fiat stash, but just continue to accrue enough coin to be ready when "it" happens.

The tutorial was asking to download Bitcoin Core so I did download it and install it , it was taking too long to Synchronize with the network so I left and Unistalled the wallet ... then by chance also , saw some articles so this time I learned more about Bitcoin then started learning thing by thing and asking a lot of questions on this forum . and now finally I learned all I need to know about it and here I'am using it Grin

Always was interested in mathematics.  Always fascinated with secret codes, and computers, and security.
Got much more into cryptography from Zimmerman's pgp in the early 90's.  Interest in Bitcoin came from a history of disappointments.  Digicash, frustrations with having a merchant account in the 90's and trying to do online sales.  Work doing coding for POS systems and technologies in fin-tech, stock analysis, William O'Neil & Co, and for banks in the mid 90's helped refine an understanding of the problems.  Followed by a career in multinational telecom and datacom security set the stage.

Not going to write more about my introduction to Bitcoin here, but suffice to say, I was a very ripe audience for my introduction to it, and immediately loved the idea.

I had heard of it years ago, I just never looked it up.  Recently my father heard about Bitcoin and wanted me to look it up and explain it to him. So I did, and as I learned more and more about it, I got more excited, since it's an awesome technology, that fixes so many problems concerning fiat. He's more into it for speculative purposes, but I like that it helps those who can't even afford to have bank accounts, and there aren't any sneaky fees, etc like the banks charge from time to time.

Also I wasn't getting as much work recently, and I was able to get paid in BTC for graphic work, which was a really nice experience. Now, I'm just collecting as much as I can, wherever I can, and writing my guide to introduce others to it also.

Hi guys. Bitcoin first caught my attention maybe around mid 2014. Most of my life I never had the slightest idea of how digital everything would be. Now that the world populations rely on computer systems. It is the best time for a  pure digital currency to replace the dollar. So when I heard of bitcoin  it made perfect sense no doubt. How ever it is critical we establish the system correctly.

I read about bitcoin in the Wall Street Journal after the first big rise to 31 USD and the subsiquent fall.  However, I didn't get into it until much later.  It is such an interesting concept and offers some real advantages in international transfers and avoiding chargebacks.
