SPTech is hunkering down working on their next gen, and I imagine Bitmain will resume business upon completion of the New Years celebrations.

Bitmain is on holiday cause of Chinese New Year. Once the holidays over, i bet it's will available again.

I looked at the numbers and S2 upgrade makes sense only if it is very cheap, like $600-700.
If S6 is a 4U machine, shipping from China would be prohibitively expensive for what is probably a 2750-2894Th machine at <1100w (S2 limit).

I am hoping they make a S6.  Although with BTC still low I could see them waiting.
