I think it is just new wallets created, so email with a password.

I support a decentralized & unregulatable ledger first, with safe scaling over time. Request a signed message if you are associating with anyone claiming to be me.

You aren't required to give an email address when signing up.

Are u suggesting that bitcoin users are growing at that rate, or that some people like to have alot of different wallets ? To me it doesn't prove anything actually, because the whole point of bitcoin is not to use same wallet/address each time. cheers

That's the problem, it's very hard to estimate number of bitcoin users. This figure could give some indication, but not necessarily. But you definitely cannot call it 'number of users'.
Although I didn't expect it to be at 3 mils, I'd be guessing ~1 mil tops.

To me it doesn't prove anything actually, because the whole point of bitcoin is not to use same wallet/address each time. cheers first of all i am not suggesting anything, i just saw this increased number and wanted to share it with the community to hear their thoughts. secondly the chart is about number of "wallets" or unique users not number of "addresses"

Those numbers not mean much. If it would be 30 000 000 not 3 000 000 that would be something.

Would it be possible to create an algorithm to approximate the quantity of actual unique users?

it is a really good sign, but we can't approximate the number of users because anyone can create many wallets

Well, of course this isn't a number that's verifiable or a concrete proof for anything, but it's still a sign of the adoption going forward. The number is still increasing nicely and I can only imagine what happens as soon as there's another bubble that brings many new people to the Bitcoin ecosystem!

most of them are unverified and unactive users, their service is not good since last few months users are facing a lot of problems with their blockchain.info wallet
