I would like to see higher adoption among internet-based companies.
Penetration in internet-gambling still remains surprisingly low.

In my opinion, first who should adopt are web based companies and in about year or so when bitcoin becomes more safe and simple to use then go for average joe use it so wall mart and everyone will have to implement Bitcoin payment option. Meanwhile we should encourage use of bitcoin and grow our community.

Yes! that seems pretty good , we first need more people and for that we need more people to accept it !

I personally don't know why all businesses wouldn't accept BTC these days. It doesn't hurt and is just another payment method that can attract new customers. Although it isn't like the early days where this got you a massive amount of new customers.

I would say retails that sell electronics as today not many people know of crytos and an electronics only store would have the most of the ones that do.

The companies that would like to say, have all been mentioned in previous topics.

Every company that sells products on the Internet will at some point will accept BTC.

What company should take btc?

For me: I'd like Virgin airlines (or anything richard branson tbh) or UBER!
For me , Google the internet gateway should take it so they can pay me with google adsense without a cc or bank account .

For me it does not matter .... From Massmart to the mom and pop shop around every corner... they should ALL accept it.

What we are seeing now is HUGE companies accepting it, but they using payment processors to convert it all back to fiat. {To me.. that is not true adoption .. They just jumped on a opportunity to make some extra profit with lower fees and a new source of income}

A true adopter for me, is a company like Overstock, who incentivize the use of bitcoin with special discounts and even paying salaries in BTC... {They do not just take from it, they try to grow and improve it}

Yes the acceptance come with free exposure.... and that is great.. but how much will it really take to offer a discount on one or two really popular items, when people pay with Bitcoin? They already cash in on the lower fees... why not pay back some of that in the early stages to incentivize and increase the use of that payment method.

The smaller shops, selling bread and milk, will be a great target market.... The normal people in Greece already said, they would adopt this currency, when they can buy their daily grocceries at the shop around the corner.... and I agree... when we can fill our tank at the gas station with Bitcoin, we would be in a better position, than having the option to buy a expensive camera on eBay.  Sad

Amazon and Ebay would be a great start . Yes I know that there is purse.io which basically do the same thing but I'am speaking about direct buying . that could attract a lot of people to Bitcoin world to be honest Grin

I think facebook should start accepting bitcoin. They can very well integrate it with their messages and allow to send quick payments to friends and family.

That would be good and would promote Bitcoin but I hope they don't fuck up our Privacy but some new shit "Facebook wallet" or whatever ... Otherwise it would defeats the purpose of Bitcoin which is being annonymus

I hope that MacDonald or any global fast food restaurant will start accepting Bitcoin soon. I'm not a fan of fast food but.. Most teenagers eat fast food so.. Getting Bitcoin out to teenagers will increase Bitcoin awareness.

Agree. If Facebook integrate Bitcoin in a nice way (privacy-first), I'm sure Bitcoin will have more adoption.

So sad! This profile does not appear as the #1 result (on anonymous) Google searches anymore.
