Why are you using curly brackets and mentioning a 5 year-old-mathematician is beyond me Do you picture Tony Stark ? Direct clues have been in curly brackets all along Not worth a red cent then... just making a funny. Less value than a bit coin? I have no idea what this means {its not worth more than a b} not worth more, must be less than. http://www.usingenglish.com/reference/idioms/not+worth+a+red+cent.htmlif something is not worth a red cent, it has no value. Oh I see, look at post by astagarth who was on the right track If a calculation is needed to be thrown in the bin, and a calculation by a 5 y.o. at that, would suggest some decimal number cause 5.y.o can't work out variables, how come there are letters after the 'binning'? Also letter 't' becomes a number at least at base-36. you need to ask 4 the key, i guess that has to do with the letters after the "bining"

If you don't ask 4 the key there will be no point in bining

No this is not, I was just mentioning that it took the team 2 weeks to come up with and verify all the possible outcomes for the treasure hunt.

i guess we need to find a same point between Alonzo Church, Alan Turing and Charles Babbage. We need a thing that it is related with them.

Hurt our heads here at TGBEX trying to solve any of the clues, but know Steve put a lot of thought and effort into this and the bitcoin awaits the winner…

Which 3 clues are you referring to? Are there more than 3? I'm confused... I thought there were 3 clues that were meant to direct us to the 9 digit password.

Just writing down some thoughts... i guess we need to find a same point between Alonzo Church, Alan Turing and Charles Babbage. We need a thing that it is related with them.
Just put them together Ok, so we have: STEP 1 (puting them all together) A(lonzo) C(hurch) A(lan) T(uring) C(harles) B(abbage) = ACATBC STEP 2 (the key) ask 4 the key probably means a substitution like the good old ciphers when you needed a key (4 in our case?) so ACATCB would become EGEXGF then we have some other elements like: 1) the numbers 001 000 100 (no idea if we have to use them though) 2) the "1BTC" 3) the 1BTCTGBEX (which is 9 characters by itself and could be the password) 4) We need one "B" 5) Most IMPORTANT: Order of the elements (coins) does not matter and then in STEP 3 we have to put everything in the "bin" (trying to figure out what the bin means exactly)

Here is an updated list of the wrong answers: http://pastebin.com/ntDatjH7So what I am thinking about now is this: The clue was "{you want the solution before you ask 4 the key and bin it}". So I think we should do something with the base-4 binary system. The problem here is that a letter doesn't fit in. Another problem is the calculation. Which calculation should we use? I am currently thinking about 100+001+000 = 101 or in binary 4+1+0=5 or in base-4 binary: 16+1+0=17. Also it isn't clear here how to use a letter. Edit: steveturk, it is not that I don't trust you, but can you do this for me: Put the answer with a random string of letters and numbers in sha-256, so we can check if this ended if you didn't change the outcome to let someone win. I am already in a position to do that, changing the answer is impossible due to the clues already given, I thought of this, so have made provision in case someone can't get the answer and starts with the scam acusuations (for example, the 3 virtual coins was uploaded to tinypic in sequence in advance, in case someone thought I would change out the coins). {glad to see the you have managed to get alan turing, charles babbage and alonzo church working together on this} Try repeating this post out loud
