I have tried to change my mining pool several times to something other than ghash.io, and it keeps reverting back.  While it may really like that pool I have tried to change to bitminter and multipool.us without success.

Why does it hang onto the ghash?  How do I make the changes stick?

It is very frustrating.

Thanks.
The block chain is the main innovation of Bitcoin. It is the first distributed timestamping system.

Please post your questions in the thread designed for Antminer S4 questions, you already have 2 additional threads: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=796839.0

Download SD card imager and use it to flash the backup SD card image I put up in post #2. If this doesn't work you'll have to replace your SD card.
