OP_Return will be included in Litecoin core from version 0.9.

So Litecoin Core 0.9 will follow Bitcoin Core's OP_RETURN default mining policy that allows 40 bytes of data. If Bitcoin Core changes their default to a different quantity of bytes we will match it.
