Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

Don't mistake bitcointalk AS bitcoin. This is not bitcoin, this is just a place to talk about it.

You can create a wallet online here: https://blockchain.info/wallet/

Or there are many bitcoin clients if you would rather have it on your computer. Multibit is the one I use. Cheers Cheesy

Do you have any coins?  If not, you can't send coins.

I think what he wants is to post on the Marketplace and get some shinny Bitcoins for himself Wink

Go to http://bitcoin.org/ and download the client for your operating system. After the blockchain is downloaded, you can send or receive bitcoins. Having enough hours and posts here is just for posting at other parts of the forum and is not related to using bitcoin itself.

Mmhh... it seems the guy is a bit confused. To me it seems he think Bitcoin is related to this forum and maybe it's like "you register an account here and you manage bitcoins here"
Well, it's not like that.

Bitcoins are NOT related to this website (they are related to NO website at all), you manage them via the bitcoin client (either the one on bitcoin.org wich will also download the whole blockchain or a light one wich connect to a server instead of getting the whole blockchain)

fastest way to play:

go to instawallet.org
copy the address they give you and paste it here
I'll send you a bit
you can send it somewhere (hint: look in my signature for ideas)
