Sadly people often think that the older generations seem to be uninterested or lack the knowledge to really understand bitcoin. Well, I'm one of the middle aged group right now and in another 10 to 20 years, I'll become the so-called older generation. By then, I think we can start to take off the stereotyping image that older generations are not bitcoin enthusiasts.
The problem is that people who are now 60+ spent most of their adult life without the 24/7 Internet access, let alone the Bitcoin. That makes the things complicated, as they have no slightest incentive to learn about Bitcoin (some few individuals may do only due to curiosity), because that would mean an unnecessary complication for their everyday life.

I guess between 17-25, where his time they want to make money themselves, and bitcoin quite a good choice, when jobs are hard to find or lazy to work hard under pressure boss

I'm not suprised at these results. No people over 40, mostly people between 20-40.

I voted for ages 26 to 40. Why? Because that's where I fall under! No, seriously, it makes sense, because this is the age where you're most likely to have the income combined with the technical savvy to actually "get Bitcoin". You're not too old to get "wallets, millibits, and hashes", and you have enough money to take financial risks before your first or second divorce or your first daughter gets married. Makes sense!

Hmm, I belong in the 17-25 bracket and I am here for the technology and the knowledge I may gain. I buy bitcoins every now and then but most of the time, I end up working for it, since I don't have a stable job yet. Good thing to see that there are plenty of young people who are interested in bitcoin.

It might be helpful to look at the ages of the prominent members of the Bitcoin community too. You have very young people like Vitalik Buterin (1995), people who are neither young nor old like Roger Ver (1980), middle aged people like Andreas Antonopoulos (1972), and older people such as the late Hal Finney (1956). (However keep in mind that most web entrepreneurs tend to be young too.) I've read that the most typical BTC holder is white male, early 30's.
I wonder if the early 30's figure is the mean or median age. Because there are quite a few people in their 50's, 60's, and perhaps even over who are using Bitcoin but very few people under 13. This would push up the mean age quite a bit.

Well technically that would just be a generation shift where more proficient as people start moving into those brackets naturally it is aging So in ten to twenty years that stereotype would be reduced significantly More of a tech generation

I've read that the most typical BTC holder is white male, early 30's. I should also add that I've read that China is 70% of BTC market. So, the typical holder is a white Chinese male in his early 30's. haha what's a white chinese?

If you can, consider what the average age of the friends and family are that use Bitcoin, not just your own age. As I previously said.... We are trying to profile the average age. Results sofar indicate 20's to late 30's ......going onto early 40's .... It's a bit quick to say in the poll... but my guess is, it will stay around there. I would have guessed late teens {15 to 25 years} based on what I have experienced on other forums.... {reddit.com / bitbiz.io / backed.io.....} Great to see the results sofar, because I am also close to that group....on the bad end of it
