Meh.

Well, that was February. Quietest month in the last year. For now Bitcoin is mostly just sitting there. Except for the brief Coinbase pump and dump, nothing happened.

Well it could enter Bitcoin history as the month where the 2014 1+ year downwards trend was finally broken! I like the stability and rigidness of the price these weeks a lot! It would be very beautiful to see a recovery starting from this point.

Still better than the never-ending downtrend we've been in all this time! I also believe that this can be the next best opportunity for a trend-reversal! But to be honest, we've seen periods of this kind of stability before so I wouldn't hold my hopes up too high just yet!

It doesnt take much effort to pump and dump, but to stabilize the market after a year long downtrend, how can you say thats nothing ?
Im actually impressed with it, and once the bears realise that this may be the turning point, this could very well be a first step to another bullrun.

cheers

I speak for the forum when I say that I hope it stays this price for a good twenty years or so. Now that's stability.

Newcomer here. How come lots of people are fond of this stability? No one wants a price rise again to sell?  Huh

Its both awesome and scary for bitcoin to rise, altho it would make many people profit, those same profits will be greather in you have more time to hord, especialy if the price bottomed out.
The trend reversal is here, more or less, so the profits are also abvious, so its just a matter of how great the final profit will be.

cheers

If you like Bitcoin for what it is and can do, and not for turning it into fiat profits then it makes sense to prefer stability. A price increase wouldn't be bad of course for those already holding coins, but not if it's just a pump to be dumped later turning off new users. Basically traders hate stability and like volatility, while the serious BTC users like stability and hate volatility (or they prefer a slow gradual increase in price, like 2012. But that's not likely to last more than a year until the FOMO starts).

it's never good. when it goes down a lot people aren't happy. when it goes up others aren't happy because they didn't buy. and when the price stays fairly "stable" it still isn't good because the market is "boring".

1 Month of near stability after a long painful plunge from its peak in 11/2013 is finally some good news for bitcoin price. Can we safely start moving up now?  Roll Eyes
