I think the same, he is risking a lot ... but he is doing the right thing. The freedom is an important thing.
Don't get wrong they were a lot of hunting team sent by the us gov, however as soon as they set foot outside of their hk outpost, they know what fate awaits them... always. And in Russia... LOL.

knows what the nsa does,
young, unmarried, no children (harder to plan hit on loved ones when there are none),

if b.o. is honest he will agree, and support him.
Then it's always possible to go hardcorer, for example with Chinese and Russian money he could litteraly own the air time, furthermore with such backers the others candidates will be in their little shoes (including the big bush and big Hillary (she get's the Capital letter
