The recovery seems to be taking way too long but  I'm almost sure the price will recover.

the price just returned to it's normal state, after china come out of the game, now it rising steady(which is how it should be)

Im I the only one that sees something wrong with this orderbook. So Thin -- and all bids jump to keep the price up -- with no sellers to speak of.. If your a trader you will know what im saying.. you seen it yourself.. Please comment.

That's how things get done. No news period with a log price period = noobs start selling out. When least expected, whales start buying in and price goes up.

On the contrary - its taking exactly as long as it needs to take!

Have you ever watched the tide come in... It doesn't look like its moving then you realise that actually it was *way* back there a little while back...

A rise of just 30$ is in no way giving people that feeling. 2013 was another crazy time, but this definitely feels good, just not as good as 2013.
However if we make it to over 300, then maybe, I would be as much happy.

Ha fools!

The real news was that MatTheCat revised his short-mid term outlook to bullish on the 26th February:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=969039.msg10595190#msg10595190

The timing of this 'news event' fits perfectly with the break out, yet I don't see any Coindesk headlines reading 'Bitcoin Up as Forum Member Changes his Mind' tchoh...typical!

I shall let y all know when I am selling.....(looking at $400 range in the first instance)......maybe.

Bitfinex victims. DO NOT TOUCH THE BFX TOKEN! Start moving it around, or trading it, and you will be construed as having accepted it as an alternative means of payment to your USD, BTC, etc.

i think were going to test the 300$ very soon. the only questions is, how long can it stay above 300$
price has gone up quite a bit. there will be a dip sooner or later.

Bitcoin has always been mostly fueled by speculation. The funny thing about speculation is that it doesn't need any news or new money to reach new heights... This could be the real deal, a real trend reversal, finally!

I would disagree with you slightly - on the part about not needing new money.  Sure, there's plenty of money still in this space from the last run-up, but given that the supply of BTC is higher now than it was then, there would likely need to be some amount of new money to hit the same point, and also more to exceed it.

That said, I think there's plenty of speculation money paying attention after seeing what BTC did most recently in 11/13, which quickly followed 4/13.  There's money to be made.

It's speculation, man... Bitcoin doesn't do too well when it comes to positive news, anymore. It's more and more speculation that actually drives the price now. I think it's good, no one needs artificial pumps!!!
