Bit-x only has LTC, I wouldn't consider it an altcoin exchange.

It seems you are right, do you have any other exchange to suggest with a good daily volume?

Volume depends on the coin you are trading..

I like poloniex after their latest updates, cryptsy is good for most coins and usually has bigger volume, bittrex is where coins are going to die and you can usually buy your desired amount.
And BTC-e of course.
I don't use any other exchanges anymore, stopped investing in shitcoins.

My choice of two is Polo and Bittrex, then eventually Cryptsy as the biggest and most reliable altcoin exchanges ( if you may say so about altcoin exchanges at all). Liquidity is the most important issue and these three mentioned exchanges are simply the best option atm.

Right choice, the scam altcoin is almost died. Now we should focalize to bitcoin and the new possible sidechains feature.

Added btc-e and bit-x , I've forgot these 2 exchanges.

You forgot an exchange that is in your signature and pays you every month Wink

For the majority of my alts i use Bittrex and Poloniex firstly because i trust them secondly because their customer service is very good in my experience.

BTER customer service was always terrible that is why i stopped using them for even close to large deposits or withdrawals.

I like the way 'if' you get them back! I have wrote my few off as a loss and lesson learned.

Their latest tweet says all altcoin withdrawals will be open in a week, but there are claims that they have emptied their office in China. I don't know if they are serious or buying time before they disappear.

Their latest tweet says all altcoin withdrawals will be open in a week, but there are claims that they have emptied their office in China. I don't know if they are serious or buying time before they disappear.

I have personally gone with the latter and that they have prepared to disappear.

My reasons 1, it has taken to long far to long! 2, they completed fiat withdrawals so the do not face the legal issue they would have stealing peoples cash.

The thing i do not get though the owner name is out there so the last thing he should be doing is planning to do a runner  Huh

Confusing i just hope anyone with a fairly large amount which they 'should not have had' on there in the first place but hope they get it back.

Stealing is horrible  Undecided Cry

About alcurEX:
ALCUREX OY is an online cryptocurrency exchange based in Finland.

Trade with USD
ALCUREX offers trading, depositing and withdrawing of United States Dollars (USD)
You can currently deposit and withdraw via bank transfers, but more transfer methods will be added later.

The USD market is for trading the exchange's top 3 cryptocurrencies:
- Bitcoin (BTC)
- Litecoin (LTC)
- microCoin (MRC)

Alternative cryptocurrencies
ALCUREX also offers an expanding variety of promising alternative cryptocurrencies on three different markets.
The markets are divided to Bitcoin, Litecoin and microCoin markets for variety and clarity.

BTC Market
The Bitcoin market is for trading cryptocurrencies with a high or medium price.
You can also use the Bitcoin market for direct trading between BTC and LTC

LTC Market
The Litecoin market is for trading cryptocurrencies with a medium-low or low price.
You can also use the Litecoin market for direct trading between LTC and MRC

MRC Market
The microCoin market is an alternative market for trading cryptocurrencies with a medium-low or low price.
This market is different because the traded altcoins will mainly have a higher price than MRC.
Full numbers allow smaller cryptocurrencies to be traded with the same mindset as cryptocurrencies on the USD market.

We support new cryptocurrencies
ALCUREX makes secure, fast and convenient trading possible for new cryptocurrencies.
Submissions for new listings can be made on the bitcointalk thread until a more convenient system is made.
Promising new cryptocurrencies will be added as often as possible for now.

Security
Security of the funds deposited within is more important than anything to an exchange.
This is why we have made several security measures.

1. Coldwallets and Hotwallets
The exchange's cryptocurrency funds are divided into two portions.
The estimated daily volume is stored in a hotwallet that can be used for automatic deposits and withdraws.
Most of the deposited funds are transferred to a coldwallet that is an offline physical wallet only we have access to.

2. Hotwallet server security measures
The hotwallets used for automatic deposits and withdraws are stored in a server that only the main website server can access.
Access from any other source is blocked.
Further more, the hotwallets are crypted and the keys are not visible on the server.

3. Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
All users have 2FA on by default.
This means you have to enter a randomly generated PIN-code that is sent to your e-mail every time you login.
This way even if someone were to steal your password or gain access to our database he still couldn't login to your account without access to your e-mail.

Future Development
Moving alcurEX fee shares from Cryptostocks to alcurex.org

A localbitcoins-style service that functions on the same page and has the same cryptocurrency balances as the exchange.
Loaning service that allows people to lend tradeable, but non-withdrawable funds to each other at their own fees and terms.
Pre-paid credit cards
Payment gateway for merchants
