Hey, I want to start selling altcoin stickers on an ecommerce site, I have looked around and although the popular cryptocurrencies have stickers available for purchase, there are many who do not have stickers, but do have fans who might want stickers/decals. Are the logos (of altcoins) themselves owned by someone/organization or are they generally open sourced and free. Obviously with the manufacture and selling of something like a sticker comes a profit - even if it's a very small one and I don't want to fail to abide by a copyright that someone holds.

I've heard rumors that some are owned by groups and some are opensource - is there a list which would tell me such information.

cheers.

Depends on the currency.
For NXT the copyright is waived - though mentioning Ideenfrische as creator would be appreciated.
I've put several good quality NXT Logo files on wikimedia - including vectors.
You can also download the whole NXT style guide.
I think some in the community would enjoy cool stickers  Cool
