Hello everyone, This is only my second post, and I am not a techie, so please forgive my ignorance if I ask the wrong question I am an author and about to publish the first 6 (of 12) chapters of my first book to Amazon. That's all set up and seems to be fine. However, I'd also like to establish a way that Bitcoin-buyers could read my book. I don't think this can be done directly through Amazon, so can anyone suggest a way that I can do this? I am not techically confident enough to set up a personal website with a Bitcoin pay function. Thanks for any advice. Ist.

Do you have a small bit of capital? I am sure services like you are requesting exist and others will help you find those services but if you could set up a domain name and webpage with very little money and insure you get all the funds from people buying your product. Best of luck with your book man!

Hi Penguin,
Yes, I can put a few euro into this. Probably no more than 500, but I would hope that'd be enough to get me started?
Any specific pointers?
Ist.

Try here: http://bitbooks.co/You can sell your ebook there. No sure how much fee they charge. It is worth a go.

You can also always accept payments from a payment provider which also accepts bitcoin, amongst other currencies.

Try using http://satoshibox.com. It is very easy to use all you need is upload your ebook and send your links to potential buyers. They can't download it if they didn't pay. Also try cryptothrift.com I saw some books has been sold there.

As mentioned here, there's a few markets where you can sell such books.
Anyway, if you were able to provide some free samples from your book, perhaps a chapter or two, that would give a good preview of the book for any potential readers.
You might also want to try on reddit.com/r/bitcoin

Also try cryptothrift.com I saw some books has been sold there. I was going to suggest satoshibox too. Beware though as soon as someone has a digital copy of your book they will likely just leak or share it but I guess that's something you'll just have to deal with. Good luck.

People could buy it with amazon giftcards they bought using BTC. But there are plenty onlinemarkets that will accept btc and make your book available.

Hey thank you Polar! Checking it out now!
Had another look at the site. They take 10% fee from your set price and settle payments monthly. http://bitbooks.co/author-faq/There aren't any books there and They don't do much marketing. You will have to promote the book yourself and link to them.

A really easy way would be to sell on an auction site like https://cryptothrift.com/Fairly sure they've got digital download section but you'd have to check it out for yourself.

I would recommend satoshi box as well. They have a good interface for selling digital products. You can also just set up a blog or something and put in a bitcoin button.

you can also design a website or weblog if you can to sell it yourself and advertise it. anyway i think it would be a good idea if you introduce/advertise it on reddit too.

Hello folks, Sorry for such a delayed response, but I haven't had as much free time as I would like! I've been looking at options, and I do like the look of Satoshibox, I have to say. I'm going to check that out in greater detail for sure. Thank you all for your kind suggestions! Ist.

You could suggest that potential readers buy it with a Amazon gift card. But very honestly - if you want to attract the bitcoin market, I'd publish it for free or very cheap and put a big QR code in the back cover, so that all can donate quickly

But I do want to publish on Amazon for a price, so I am not sure how it would square if I give it away somewhere else :/ Gonna need to think about it a little, and see what ideas I come up with. I have at least 4-6 weeks before I am ready to publish anyhow, so I have a little time.
