That would defeat the whole purpose of bitcoin: no middle man. Why would you want a middle man?

You can't have a savings account without giving away your private key(s) (and thus allowing the bank to use your bitcoins). You do not want to do that, trust me. Or rather, trust no-one.

I would like to be able to trust enough to 'send' my bitcoins to them. In real life you give your money to banks as well. That is a good part of banks I can not deny. Except almost all other bad things about them.

True, but in the real world they are bound by contract, law, etc. On the internet, not so much. I've seen a LOT of scams on these forums, and they will likely be prevalent for times to come, although they will hopefully die out as soon as there are some big companies that are not scams.

Bitcoin don't need bank. Actual purpose of bitcoin is decentralized system, and bank is centralized system.
And you want earn interest from your saving in bank? That would be the lowest potential interest, try to invest in another profitable one.

I saw before it is called/sound like Islamic Bitcoin Bank. You can send them your bitcoin and they will use it for their loan business and in return they will give you small Interest. I don't know what happen to them now.

Oddly enough when I google "bitcoin bank" it auto fills to "Bitcoin bank interest" and one of the first links is to https://www.bitbond.com/

I don't know if they can be trusted or not but there are sure are banks ready to take your money and supposedly even give you a return of interest for 'banking' with them.

Well, most places offering "guaranteed" interest are just ponzis.
I think that Bitcoin's anonymity prevents as much security in lending to allow this.

Secondly, I don't think the loan volume would be enough for any major lenders to need to take deposits to lend out

No longer active on bitcointalk, however, you can still reach me via PMs if needed.

They also self-admit that they have a loan payback rate... something like 87%.  So it's really risky.  Didn't really sound like there's any insurance for the lender.  And it also sounds like the user/investor chooses the loans so it's just about as good as gambling lol

If you are talking about loans, there is a site called btcjame which hands out loads based on the reputation of prior stuff.

eg: ebay rep, actual stuff you have to send to them. It all gets verified, and also depends on the amount people will reach out depending what its for etc.

It was unsuccessully tried. Bitcoin banks will appear again but some businesses offer some of the functionality of banks, like bitfinex.

p2p loans or services like bitjam... Don't trust any service claiming to be a bitcoin bank. You can do the same with a wallet stored in a secure environment.

I would like to see a trustworthy place where I can deposit bitcoin and earning interests too. Regret to say, there isn't one at the moment. The closest I have heard is an exchange which pays you interest for the funds you leave with them. I rather not say which one, cos I have not tried it and don't know how it works.

A bitcoin bank will "destroy" the concept of decentralization. Your bank  is your personal wallet, not the exchange, not the scammy site (be your own bank). If all the people will start to deposit all the bitcoin in "one point" the bitcoin will lose its "effect".

the only bitcoin bank is you wallet with your local client, but it would be cool if who has some btc could see it rising in the wallet, but not exactly like pos coin

those already rich should not be rewarded, but only who have small amount of btc
