I'm sure Team Intersango's heart is in the right place but the recent debacle with Metro Bank was handled so badly. As Patrick says, it was the worst possible combo - the planned for bank outage 26th through 30th July, encouraged me to bunch up my withdrawals in the weeks before, then I was caught out by my withdrawals being marked as sent when they had not - this is an unforgivable error. Then I had to repost them, putting them further back in the queue - again unforgivable, anyone caught out this human erro should been given priority. Then the whole Metro Bank account freeze took place resulting in nearly a months withdrawal being trapped in the site. Trying to then buy back into bitcoins and exit Intersango by alternative means was then blocked by the hot wallet depletion - which inspires further panic - again unforgivable. And all through this period, we had one update telling us Metro bank were undertaking an investigation, which could take weeks.

This is people's money you're dealing with - it demands respect. Handled right, we could all make bitcoin a sensational phenomenon, but handled any less than impeccably and people will abandon it in droves.
