Excuse me if this should go in other section. The latest episode of Eye Candy a series about a "hacker" and stalker the story has obvious references to Silk Road although in what they call "Babylon" you can also buy murder and other things. Bitcoin is mentioned.

Bitcoin is mentioned in law & order?   Surely that's one of the newer law and order spinnoffs, right?  I mean, I think they stopped making the original law&order back in like 2001 or something, no?

That's right, it creates a curiosity among the show watchers and it might help get more people involved in Bitcoin.

Although it's always good for bitcoin to get some airtime, as franky1 mentions above it has been on quite a few shows/movies already.

Yet bitcoin is still relatively unknown out there in the general population.  I started a new job back in January,  and not one of the 30 or so people in the office knew/heard of it.

Everyone knew in my previous workplace because I made sure to discuss it at appropriate times etc etc.

It is up to us to spread the bitcoin word - if you haven't already done so, give out some bitcents as gifts.
