Have you heard it yourself or just been told so?
told me someone who has contact with their embassy According to data collected by astronomers from different countries, the North Korean satellite is malfunctioning. Data from trackers in South Africa and Britain suggest the brightness of the satellite has been fluctuating, which indicates it is tumbling as it orbits. That likely means a malfunction in the probe's stabilizers because it was designed to constantly point toward the Earth Are they telling us lies? one presumes they are mistaken

Be radical, have principles, be absolute, be that which the bourgeoisie calls an extremist: give yourself without counting or calculating, don't accept what they call ‘the reality of life' and act in such a way that you won't be accepted by that kind of ‘life', never abandon the principle of struggle.

And we should believe you? Why then didn't anyone apart from those in NK hear that song? Just in case, do you know the meaning of the phrase "wishful thinking"?

Don't let your feelings to mislead you. I agree the western political/economic establishment is a bunch of crooks, but the north Korean ruling elite isn't any better.

GENEVA (Reuters) - North Korean Foreign Minister Ri Su Yong said on Tuesday that his country had the power to deter an "ever-increasing nuclear threat" by the United States with a pre-emptive strike if necessary.
His rare speech at the U.N.-backed Conference on Disarmament drew a rebuke from U.S. Ambassador Robert Wood, who urged Pyongyang to stop making threats and rid itself of nuclear weapons.
Ri said joint military exercises currently being staged by South Korea and the United States were "unprecedentedly provocative in nature and have an especially high possibility of sparking off a war."
"The DPRK (Democratic People's Republic of Korea) cannot but bolster its nuclear deterrent capability to cope with the ever-increasing nuclear threat of the U.S.," he told the Geneva forum. "Now the DPRK has the power of deterring the U.S. and conducting a pre-emptive strike as well, if necessary." More... http://news.yahoo.com/north-korea-power-deter-u-nuclear-threat-foreign-095038342.htmlSame threats as before. They are doing just their usual crazy, but successful, habit to have major powers pay them to have peace. Don't panic!

they are a good deal better, when times are hard in korea the suffering is shared equally, during the arduous march period it is said that kim jong il survived on just a few bowls of rice a day because he couldn't bear to live in luxury while the people suffered

The world of politics is so messed-up today! I wouldn't be surprised if the US is paying for North Korea to make these threats so they can continue their political goals in the east.

They are sending there food, medicines and whatnot through the UN humanitarian aid channels (by some here this is considered as "war reparations"). There is a thread somewhere around this forum where this issue is analyzed in greater detail.

he doesn't carry anything because he died in 2011 Frankly speaking, I don't distinguish between Kims, but the younger Kim's propensity for luxury goods seems to exceed even his father's, who was conspicuous for leading an expensive lifestyle.

Do you see? North Korea is noble after all. They even warned us about the bad things they might do to us if we don't knuckle under. That is soooo noble and honorable of them. We would love to allies with such a noble nation, right? Do you think they have anything else to offer?

Major powers (US & China included) are subsidizing DPRK with the "humanitarian aid" made of food & fuels; however, due to Songun ( Army First) policy of the North Korean regime this allow the government to dedicate his scarse resources to Armed Forces benefit and to luxury goods for the ruling elite. Just as the humanitarian aid to Somalia in the 90s displaced local food producers (why someone need to buy food when he can get free from UN camps?) thus creating a real famine.

there isn't a famine going on any more, kim jong un can wear what he likes So he may spend $600 million on luxury goods annually, right? What about their ideology of universal equality and fraternity, and how does it meet his inclinations and propensities for dolce vita, huh? Former NBA superstar Dennis Rodman, who has been to the North three times, said he spent seven days on Kim's private island partying, jet skiing and horse riding and saw an array of big yachts there. All animals are equal, but some are more equal than others?

I still feel if one crazy dictator went in there and reformed the economy it could be the next East Germany in 20 years and handle its own food crisis. Aka a working nation Did not say a combined Korea with a democratic president but a dictator because North and South Korea rarely talk to each other at all unlike with East and West Germany. Plus 5 Year Plans tend to work better in undeveloped economies once they are built up then transitions to capitalism kind of need working infrastructure and state focus before you get to wealth generation.
