Bitcoin.org is at, or at least very close, to the center of the internet map.

I found it amusing.

I sent Ruslan an email...

Quote
Hi Ruslan, I liked you internet map and would love to donate something in return for your efforts. Do you
have some alternative ways of receiving donations, I don't have a paypal account and don't even want to
make one either. Have you heard about bitcoin? Would send you some coins right now if i knew your address.

Kind regards,
Alex B.

And his answer...

Thank you,

Unfortunatelly, I cannot accept bitcoins.

Anyway I appreciate your help.
BR,
Ruslan

Could my writing style be at fault?

Well, once enough other people start doing it they will feel like idiots. Or perhaps he gets funding from somewhere and they demand that the source of donations needs to be tracked.

Edit: Does anyone know the meaning of the node location in this graph. The description made it sound like some kind of elastic map but the pdf went too over my head.

When trying to donate, or convince people, why not just go ahead and send some BTC with Coinapult?

I think that's much more persuasive. If the person has something worth $X just waiting to be redeemed, maybe they'll put in the effort.

HODLing for the longest time. Skippin fast right around the moon. On a rocketship straight to mars.
Up, up and away with my beautiful, my beautiful Bitcoin~
