If I use a real phone number are they automatically going to call?
Is there a phone "verification" every time you withdraw funds?

// sorry if it's a duplicate topic, didn't see a thread title match....

EDIT:
It has to be a cell phone, what If I don't want/have one?

They send a verification code to your phone if you want to withdraw and when you sign up.

I have never wanted or needed a cell phone, but thanks for the quick answer.

Edit#2:
There is a land-line option.

You receive a text message every time you login.

If you don't have a cell phone you can request a phone call.

I have been with them for a few months and have received no calls or 'unsolicited' texts from them it is just used as your 2fa and to sign in to your account.
Already been answered i missed  Undecided

If you do not have a sell phone or want to use i am sure i have read that they are going to allow email verification in the near future but i really do not see a problem with an exchange having my number they are legit.

Someone has said that you can use a google voice number but I have not try (maybe it works). However marcotheminer said in the next few months they will change this login system and ask only an email + 2FA , so the phone number will not be required anymore.

What s the big deal? You dont have a cell phone or you really think they are going to troll you afterwards?
It s all fine, I registered long time ago, no problems at all.

However, Hashnest s cheaper.

Once you're signed up you can give an email address for future security verifications. The phone number option is ok, but the number that calls for verifications comes from country code +44, is that the UK or something? Could result in long distance charges for some.

I remember Marco saying somewhere about only requiring an email in the future to create an account there.

Yes, needs a number. Some numbers never get the confirmation code, you have to ask them to call u get the code.

It's too complex, I prefer email login-withdraw + 2FA, which is more convenient and safer.

I am unsure whether or not I should trust them but I guess I may as well. Their rates are worth it Tongue

No I do not think, he has already put the bit-x address deposit to their profile (under the voice "other contact").
It seems he has already registered on bit-x.com .

Using a phone number is the only way to sign-up, it's not difficult for most people, but some people would say giving their phone number will reveal their personal info, well, Wise see wisdom.

I'd suggest that you just borrow a friend's phone or use google voice or some other sort of online phone service, if you don't want to share your real number with them or buy a phone and plan just for this purpose.

i dont know if its available in all countries, but i guess you can buy a prepaid sim card and use it for services where you dont want to reveal your main number, and you can just replace to that sim card when needed - so no need to buy a separate phone or subscribe to a monthly plan just for this. that said, i can confirm that i did not get any ad messages from bit-x and i think they would not risk their customers just to send spam or meaningless advertising  Smiley
p.s. and excuses that you don't have a mobile phone these days... its even more unbelievable than not to have or use a computer in my view   Shocked Wink
