Manually choose the folder in which you installed Bitcoin core and then restart, it will work.

"Armoey"?? you means armory wallet Huh
well, bitcoin core is need sync and need space disk for >20GB to finish sync, are you have already check your HDD space and your internet bandwitch?
i recommended you to use electrum or multibit, you dont need to download the data for synch, just need to stay online.

Not sure what you mean. You're talking about two different wallet programs here. One is Bitcoin Core-QT and the other one is Armory.

Are you saying you can get the QT wallet to sync but Armory doesn't sync?

To ikyedsu:

Some users like to use heavy wallet and some like light wallet. Contribute to the node if you have good interent connection and enough storage.

P.S. ~40+ GB will be used by Armory online.

To sgk:

Bitcoin core needs to be there for syncing. When Armory runs, Bitcoin core is opened in background and will be syncing. Alternatively, you can use the torrent option if you are using older versions.

OK, I didn't know that Armory needs QT wallet to function.

So Armory is not a 'light' wallet, then? I currently use Multibit and was thinking of trying out another 'light' wallet. What are my options? Electrum?

OK, I didn't know that Armory needs QT wallet to function.

AFAIK all wallets which download blockchain needs Bitcoin core unless they add Bitcoin core's functions to that wallet.

So Armory is not a 'light' wallet, then?

No but if you like to use Armory, you can use CounterWallet isntead of Armory online and Armory offline.

I currently use Multibit and was thinking of trying out another 'light' wallet.

Try Multibit-HD. It is in beta phase but it is good.

What are my options? Electrum?

Browser wallet: GreenAddress(recommemded).
Other wallets: Bither, Electrum and Multibit-HD.

Thank you for elaborate answer.
I took a quick search-tour of Multibit-HD and I like it. But it is still in beta phase, so I'll wait until stable release.

Will have a look at Electrum also.
