Poker Players: Bitcoin Poker Site Promotion

Aside from rakeback and deposit bonus, what kind of promotion do you want to see in a bitcoin poker site?

Rake race? number of hands freerolls? anything you have in mind, please share.

BTW, i don't own a bitcoin poker website. I just want to see and ask fellow poker player like me about what promo do they want.
hopefully, website owners can see this thread and follow 1 or 2 ideas we might have here.

Reward your active players, keep them busy with gifts and bonuses for their activity in the game, so they will feel the need to come back.

As for getting new users, $ gifts / dividends  for signing up before XX-XX-XXXX date..

loyalty bonuses, freerolls for most hands played weekly, something like the krill on swc so ppl can earn better rakeback. those would be some of my ideas

I second you ! This is what almost everyone ignore they don't pay enough attention to their active players and want more and more new players. Give some rewards to existed players along with new ones to have balance.

   I like freerolls, currently I am joining freerolls in luckyflop, I can earn many mbtc per day. Sometimes I go to SWC, betcoin to play freerolls.

Today I downloaded pokerstars and full tilt poker clients, ready to join their freerolls.

Even world champion Chris Ferguson likes freerolls too, unbelievable, right? But I see his poker tutorial, he said freerolls really help poker players to manage fund, enhance skill with different skills players.

I think everyone prefers promotions. One thing I liked recently, were promotions on sites like Nitrogen, and they are really good for getting new people to visit the site.

1.  Non-deposit bonus to try the site (if it is NEW)
2. If it is Old sites, they should give reward to their loyal player.
3. Jackpot for Nice Hand like 4 of a kind, straight flush, Royal Flush etc.
4. Free rolls is a must.

Most of these already exist on the site.
One thing I like and see only on one site is the use of Krills.
Just like pokerstars offers player classes, we need something like that for the BTC poker community as well.

It depends what you want to achieve. If you want to get more people to try the site the easiest thing is to make a giveaway. It can also have a required number of hands you have to play before you're allowed to withdraw, so people will actually play.

If you want to reward current users give them bonuses after certain number of games played. You could also reward biggest losers with bonuses or free games to help them get back into the game.
Truth is the winners will usually keep playing, so you need to take care of the losers.

Why aside from deposit bonus ? I think thats actually one of the best bonuses a poker player can get as long as the rollover requirement aren't unachievable.
Even having 2-3 x rollover requirement would guarantee enough rake to the site to cover up those bonuses awarded.

Apart from the bonuses, one thing would be awarding freeroll tickets based on deposits/amount played

Anything that rewards volume is smart because it's a win-win situation.  WPN is pretty great with this as they have two weekly leaderboards, one for cash and one for SNG, that is pure volume-based.  They take a small % of the rake from the tables and add it to the prize pool so it grows over time.

Do you mean luckyflop? Luckyflop is a new site, need more time to attract more customers. If 200 players online there, I think SNG and Ring would be  full of players.

totally agree with the concept of 2 different kinds of freerolls. players who already play on site and deposit need to have better rewards.

The problem is that micro freerolls don't attract the kind of people that a poker site needs to survive.  If a site has, say, a 1BTC/wk promotional budget and puts that budget into running 6 chips worth of freerolls a day, the only people that that is going to attract are people like you who just said that you aren't interested in depositing on a site.  Now that's obviously fine for you as an individual, but for the poker site that's bad because they are never making any money. 

If, instead, the site puts that budget into deposit bonus', guaranteed tournaments, or funding a rake race promotion of some sort, they are more likely to attract players who will actually deposit money and play regularly, allowing the site to rake pots and start recouping start up costs.  These types of people are also more likely to leave bonus money on their accounts and play more.
