Hi, I'm new here, so if this is not in the right board, I apologize to the admin.

I've been mining Bitcoin for a while, and I noticed that, in order to mine, sometimes you need to buy this geeky, bulky and expensive hardware, in order to have great profitability. So, to make the lives of the people who don't have the money for the gear easier, I decided to make a fork of Litecoin that wouldn't need so much GHz/h to mine. But, since I am really new to this, I don't know how make the mining process easier. Can someone explain what do I have to do, and if it has to do with the mining difficulty? What pieces of code should I edit after I make the fork? I thank you in advance.

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

Grin (as long as you keep your coin private, the hashrate won't be too high)
however if you make a litecoin fork, you won't be able to use your geeky expensive hardware you used to mine bitcoin

ps: hope you won't make your coin public...
