Maybe it would have been better to use an escrow and everyone of you have deposited 1 btc in the escrow's address. However maybe give him a "last chance" maybe he will get back before the end of the month. |

If you didnt make the bet on a blockchain with a smart contract, it wasnt a real bet. For the same reason money isnt real money unless its on a blockchain.  |

There was never a chance for him to pay, he just accepted the bet so that he can take money from you if hes right, but he would of never honored the bet himself, its obvious.
There were alot of these kinds of people on btc-e chat, betting and asking when theyre right , and leaving chat and ignoring when they loose.
Escrow everything when dealing with non trusted people, let this be a lession.

Thats nothing, I received an email telling me how to double my bitcoins by sending bitcoin to a specific address. No matter how much I send to it I'm not receiving my double amount, in fact losing my bitcoin !  Whats goin on ? |

Did you really expect him to payout? He was a member with not a lot of credibility who can easily just leave and never pay... In these situations if the bet is serious escrow is a must... Atleast this is a lesson learnt for next time |
