The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Re: Bitcoin Radio? Bitcoin news daily?

Why is this in off-topic? We need something exactly like OnlyOneTV: The Bitcoin Show, hosted by anyone other than Bruce Wagner.

(Bitcoin needs a new rock star evangelist and go-to guy for the media who does not also happen to be a convicted conman.)

The Bitcoin Show was, for all its flaws, a decent way to cover recent developments in the Bitcoin world,
and a brilliant way for developers to promote new or upcoming services in detail.

Perhaps BitTalk Media could throw a decent mic and HD webcam at one of their guys?
Do weekly, tightly focused, scripted, unedited half hour fireside video chats with the right people.

Probably one of the better ways to strategically position yourself to be the guy Wired or CNN calls the next time something crazy happens in Bitcoin and they need a couple of statements. I mean, if it worked for Bruce, it could work for... You?   Cheesy

Looks like analytics says it found 3 unique IP addresses per podcast. Not bad, I shall continue to do this daily -- its kind of fun actually.

Here is the first podcast skip to 60 seconds in to start hearing talking.
MP3 Format: http://pipboy3000.com/podcast/1%20-%208-4-2012%208-23pm-edited.mp3
Ogg Format: http://pipboy3000.com/podcast/1%20-%208-4-2012%208-23pm-edited.ogg

Cool music. Quite enjoyable production. This could be good. Smiley

I really like the smooth low volume background music while you talk. It gives a pulse and a beat to the podcast.

Make a list of the topics you're going to cover. Announce the list of topics at the start of the podcast.
You announce each topic as you're about to start it. This is good. Keep it up, stick to it like glue.

Next up: "Open Transactions." -> "Allright that was open transactions."
Next up: "Gavin Andresen has a proposal for credits for testing changes to the Bitcoin Client."
Next up: "The London Bitcoin Conference."

Neat, but make this list known at the very start of the episode, preferably before the first musical segment to catch the listeners attention.
Would be good if you announce the name of the artist and the song you're about to play in advance, like, you know, on radio.

Clear your voice in advance, drink a hot cup of tea and warm up your vocal cords, try to avoid coughing in the mic several times every minute.
(When you need to cough, mute the mic, cough, unmute.  Live radio always has a cough button. For good reason.)

You have a really nice smooth voice, but you could be more focused and "less laid back".
Make an effort to sound like what you are saying is important, and it will sound like it is.

Project your voice, think of a radio host, try to speak more like a radio host,
do a quick dry run, warm up mentally. Get in the zone before you go live.

Keep a fixed distance to the mic, lean more towards the mic perhaps.

Perhaps record each session in several segments, if this doesn't mess with the music.
You could cut and paste the segments together, add music in post production.

This way you can do a retake if you stumble or mumble or stop.
--> Less... like... uhms, and uhhhs... and uhh.... small pauses.

Finally, do a recap / outtro / see you next time at the end.

That was pretty much everything, and this is quickly starting to sound too much like actual work so I'll be sure to stop here.

Really promising start. I'm looking forward to the next episode! Yay! Go you! Smiley

I took the liberty of including links to the topics you cover. Xenland, I do believe you may have found your calling. These are very good for an amateur.
