Hi, you are wasting power if going to mine using cpu/gpu.
You won't get any shares since the difficulty already too high.

Adding onto what Zich said, if you want to mine some bitcoins you would want to look into purchasing an ASIC. GPU's and CPU's aren't profitable anymore, but if you really want to have them working on some distributed computing project you could look into Folding@Home or BOINC.

If you really want to do a bit of mining, check out the classifieds for used miners, but don't expect to get your full investment in the miner back unless you have free power.

in the host you simply put the pool name, than your worker and pass(usualy pass it's random, you can put what you want)

i don't advice mining with cpu/gpu, not worth it

I recommend you to mine altcoins, because Bitcoin minning is 10000 times harder than it was in 2011.

In that year I mined 0.1 BTC in two months, so You sill earn 10 uBTC or less.

As all said, it's not worth it. I mined there one year ago for about a month for ~2300 satoshi, which is too small to be withdrawn.

However, nobody answered your question.

1. go to https://mining.bitcoin.cz/accounts/profile/workers/ and create a worker. For example: yourWk
2. go to https://mining.bitcoin.cz/user-manual/getting_started and look how the command line should look like.

You should have:
host: stratum+tcp://stratum.bitcoin.cz
port: 3333
worker name: yourUser.yourWk

The password is not the account password, it's the worker password. If you didn't have to create password for worker, you will put anything you want here, for example: x

I write this because it may help you on other pools / other mining programs / other coins.

Don't waste your time mining unless you see some serious price hikes in Bitcoin.
Till then, you might try to buy some and trade the waves and enjoy the ride.

actually what NeuroticFish posted that's make your issue clear, but if you have more issue about mining you can go to https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=14.0

It's not only time: if the CPU is at full load all the time, the thermal grease could loose their thermal conductivity, so you'll need to replace it.
Don't use a desktop PC for mining.

Mining will cause your CPU and GPU to work at almost 100%, which will cause stress and may overheat. If it's only for your hobby, I suggest you not to run it all the time as it will be the cause of your CPU and GPU's death.

As for your main question, go here and setup the necessary details: https://mining.bitcoin.cz/accounts/profile/workers/

You can put any name you like in the worker and also in the password.

NeuroticFish answered your question pretty good, so I don't think you'll need any further help on how to setup your mining program.

However many users have pointed out that mining Bitcoins with CPU/GPU is not feasible now a days. You will get nothing.
It is better to mine alt-coins and then trade your alt-coins for Bitcoins.

There are some 'Multipools' that mine alt-coins and then trade them for you, so you get your earnings in Bitcoins.
One such pool is http://clevermining.com/
Have a look around their site and see how it works.
