I don't have 240 volt setup in house to do one of those psu's
I also think you really need that breakout board.

I will say this intel 1000/120 1200/240 server unit is really nice.

I am waiting for pete to post a link for a kit with the breakout board the psu and some pcie wires.

It appears to be perfect psu for the sp20e . This one is the platinum rated one. and at the numbers it is doing it appears to be a platinum psu.

it gives me 775 watts at 120 volts -----------------------------------

my 1200 watt plat seasonic gives me 758 watts at 120 volts-- this is under .4 kwatts a day or at 10 cents it is 4 cents a day difference in power.

the sp20e is doing 1327 gh and 758 watts = 0.571213 watts a gh with the platinum 1200 watts seasonic

and intel was doing 1348 and 775 watts = 0.574925 watts a gh with the platinum 1000-1200 watts server intel.

Based on this testing I recommend the intel server psu and break out board if the price is good. it will push a sp20e to 1350gh very easy and give nice watts per gh basically = to the watts per gh the seasonic 1200 plat does. plus it is queiter then the hp 850 was.

Yes it is within specs. of a platinum rating. Thanks for doing this.... next up is the setup of the pi as a controller and how to log into it from away.

doing the new rasp pi for the avalon 4.1's will be for later in the week.

remote logging and wi fi are both possible in theory. but that is a future review.

Hey pete what is the link for the intel server psu and the breakout board with some pcie cords. they are a very nice kit!

the intel is not that loud the dell and hp are pretty loud. but actually the intel he shipped to me is the first server psu I would consider using in my home.

Down the road after all my testing I will keep it and use it.

It is pretty quiet and it does do plat numbers.

Since I know you had a lot of miners.
Could you tell me if the intel is louder than a SP20 or more like a Avalon4.1?

That will give me a idea.

now it is just the psu. It matches closer to the sp20 then the avalon 4.1

I would love to get the plats.

One thing the hps is decent tested well went way over 850 watt rating for 120 volt.

The hp is like a gold looks like 80 bucks for the 3 parts. He must be away as I don't see any info or pm's from him.. I am going to find his email and shoot him an email tonight on the plats.

I do like the plat psu from intel. I placed an order today for a set of cables.

The bronze dell------I packed with a 4 cable set and included it with an sp20
The gold hp----------I packed with a 4 cable set and included it with an sp20e

The intel kit is better quality and is more efficient. The better Quality is at a higher price.

The hp kit at 55 bucks is a screaming good deal, I was able to get it to do over 850 watts on a 120 volt line. I do not of any better psu for this price point and wattage.

If you run it on 120 volt and draw 700 watts (think s-5) it won't be very loud and it is a really nice psu .
It can also run an under clocked sp20 very well.

The kit has:

4 pcie cables
1 psu
1 breakout board
1 14 gauge power cord

At pete's price point of 54.76 for a kit it is a good deal

Yeah I was not sure about the shipping ,but with free shipping and paypal payments available the HP is really good for more then one application of miner.

It did more then 850 watts with a 120volt power source.

It did 700 watts quietly (relative say 53db and not a vicious sounding pitch).
