Hello all ,

Since weeks i'm preparing to spend a week using just bitcoin but this seem to me not possible at all ,
Heres what i was planning to do :

- Collect some coins with signature for a month  Grin , (think 0.23 BTC);
- Buying some school needs cost 3$ (pen ,,,) from amazon with a member in this thread;
- Buying a Takeaway food and some water ,,,from the restaurant near of
my parents house that accept bitcoin  ($7 * 7) ;
- Not moving from the house to not spent fiat , is there a taxi accepting bitcoin   Roll Eyes ?

This is a kind of my idea to spend a week using just bitcoin and this thread !
what did you think about this idea ? have you one ? share it !

Great idea, good luck with it.

I do have a few additional thoughts for you. If you can, try not to pay for something through a middle person (e.g., you want to take a taxi, they don't take BTC, so your friend pays for it and than you pay your friend in BTC). That example doesn't really represent you living off of BTC, it doesn't expand the economy or support the existing economy. It's not bad, I just think the challenge should be for you to find retailers that actually accept BTC for payment.

Let us know how you do, may be you can keep a thread going like a blog so we know what you've bought and/or what challenges exist!
