If you are coding in PHP - please leave a trace here.. Some of us probably doing same projects for Bitcoin but separately... It would be nice to talk about with peers and probably engage in collective production. I'm first - https://github.com/santacruz123

Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

http://galaxies.mygamesonline.org/ is coded in PHP. I have not yet figured out how best to plug the use of bitcoins into its code though. I might even just use something like mybitcoin to interface it to bitcoins instead of making it require access to a bitcoind instance; I haven't decided yet exactly what approach to take, partly because it turns out the thing is more akin to alpha software than to what i am used to in GNU beta software, despite the "beta" label it came with. -MarkM-

I do lots of PHP, but I am in the U.S., so I haven't bothered trying to freelance here. People in other countries will be way less expensive.

There's a significant base of people in the US who want nothing to do with coders from various Asian locales for various reasons. It's not terribly hard to find them.

I'm doing work in PHP for 10 years now. BitMarket.eu is written in PHP. We may opensource it someday, but it's something that has to be discussed first.

Who here can name the original developer of PHP, what it was first named and which university he was attending at the time? Without searching for it of course.

I forgot the name of the guy, but I remember that PHP standed for "Personal Home Page tools" when it first started, as a collection of cgi scripts.

Those sound correct to me. I remember Rasmus and that he originally created it to manage/track his grades or something similar and it was called Personal Home Page tools. The university I am not recalling, Ottawa or Quebec rings a bell but I am not sure.
