Dear all,
A friend of mine won a poker tournament about 5 years ago.
The price is $7000 per year for 20 years. The past 5 years are paid out as expected and the poker company is listed on the NYSE.
The theoretical value of the 15 payments with different discount rates is as followed.
0%: 105k 1%: 97.7k 2%: 91.3k 3%: 85.4k 4%: 80.2k 5%: 75.4k 6%: 71.0k 7%: 67.1k 8%: 63.5k 9%: 60.2k
My question, is there a investor who is willing to trade the future payments for BTC at this moment. (and if so, what would be an appropriate rate?)

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in
Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it
will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

Not really a currency exchange thread...so this post doesn't belong in this sub-forum. Anyways, for me, if this was legit and future winnings were transferable etc etc - about 21k-25k would be ballpark value.

You didn't list any kind of collateral.

Your thread is too unclear OP. Post exact amount you're asking, interest rate, period and collateral you're offering. If you're just asking for advice then it shouldn't be on the Lending board.

He is selling a stream of $7,000 payments, paid annually by a company listed on the NYSE for the next 15 years. The amounts he listed are that would be the value of the annunity based on various discount (interest) rates.
Anyone considering this would need to confirm how credit worthy the company who sold the annunity is as well as the fact that the payments can in fact be assigned.

Excatly. The collatoral is the anual payments. It is something like a bond with 15 years duration... (it is even possible to hedge the future intrest rate, so the risk is minimal...)

(it is even possible to hedge the future intrest rate, so the risk is minimal...) why don't you post the company that backs the annunity as not all issuing companies are the same? Also you should post what basis makes you believe that you can in fact sell the annunity without violating the terms of the insurance contract.
