Etherium.org launch to make Bitcoin price go UP?

Next friday the Etherium project launch by starting the Etherium blockchain.

This event schould mean more use for Bitcoins and therefore Vitcoin price raising.

With Etherium its possible to make contracts on an blockchain, forinstance with Bitcoin as the currency.

I beleive Etherium schould make Bitcoin price explode, but I have not seen other peopletalk about this on Bitcointalk.

You can laugh. When I first heard of Etherium I didnt see the use for it. Suddenly I was not thinking about anything else then Etherium. The idea to remove third party trust is HUGE. I dont know if Etherium will succeed at this? People have bourght Ether for about 20 million dollars, 1 year befor launch. So atleast a big group of people beleive in the project.

bad news on the other hand has quite some impact. especially hacked exchanges.

More likely that they believe in speculating and dumping for more BTC. I'll be curious to see what, if anything, materialises out of all of this.

No, I don't think the price will go up (huge pump) maybe only few bucks of value. Ethereum has collected 20k bitcoin if I remember correctly? 20k btc and almost (or over) 1 year.... I hope they will release that genesis block.

It was over 31k that they collected, and their IPO address shows they still have 5k left to dump. Apart from paycoin it's the biggest IPO I ever heard of.

Yeh the IPO was nuts, unfortunately i was to scared to put any BTC on it, too many scams around IPOs. I still think Ethereum will turn out ok tho.

31'000 bitcoin raised in their ICO, almost one year for release it. Now I hope it will not turn in a complete fiasco, aethereum it will be better because it will more fair to all the bitcoin users (like clam) and of course everyone will use it instead to use ethereum.

I am just wondering why you put your money and resources to create yet another altcoin. Would not be better, instead of doing so,  just join venture with bitcoin projects and make bitcoin better? I find this project and any other altcoin not really helping bitcoin that much in the long run.

Enough about Etherium boosting bitcoin prices because it is not going to happen. Etherium collected 31000btc and what is going to happen to them? Sold at exchanges and drive the price down.
