On the other hand if you guys are going into the correct direction quickly, seeing this he might decide to come back while it is still possible to arrange things smoothly.

Monero's privacy and therefore fungibility are MUCH stronger than Bitcoin's.
This makes Monero a better candidate to deserve the term "digital cash".

I tend to agree with this.  Just wait until we start talking about Gendarmerie (Police) involvement, he might quickly turn up and say "I was hacked." lol

All confidential conversations are talking place on IRC anyway.

For any confidential conversations we have IRC if the need arises.

yah, i apologize for my jump to conclusions. Innocent until proven guilty and all that. From what I've gathered of this crypto world, there are a lot of scams, so that plus the new account makes it an easy (perhaps lazy) deduction... but yeah, perhaps things are different than what they seem, and perhaps he will come back and say "whoops here's your money".

Oh no... you misunderstood what I was trying to say.  There is not a shred of doubt in my mind that he is guilty and planned this in advance.  Closing down thread, twitter and turning off phone cannot leave any doubt.  And the fact that he launched the site with a brand new account shows premeditation.

I know he has videos himself on youtube. He posted some of them in the chat.

It was about some rpg maker tutorials. Super rpg or someting like that. They were in french
-snip-

Not sure. My memory is not very vivid but it doesn't really look like I recall.

I have my doubts as well about the link I posted. Wish I had saved the video in the beginning.

That video clearly states Bobbax Hotel or something.  That would be too much of a coincidence if it wasnt related.  Someone save that video locally, Im not sure how.

So it should be the same for this scammer, we could report him to abuse@ovh.net

maybe to the flics too (french cops).
I had 400K+ doge and a few hundreds XMG there. I will donate all my balance there to whoever get the scammer nailed so to recover the funds.

Amigo,

For a fair and unique coin it's hard to sort out who is a scammer and who is not. Magi team received many messages from people who would like to help Magi. Magi also noticed some strange actions on the different exchanges. Not everbody is happy with the grow of Magi. When in doubt about cryptocoins-dice.com we will remove it from our thread.
Magi wants to precisely distinguished by unique developments in the field of mining, payment etc.
As you all know Magi (XMG) use the word fair in many promotions. If you lost XMG by our mistake for not checking this website i will personel pay you back the coins you lost!! Just sent me a pm.
Special thanks for Wpalczynski for inform me about this!

Why scam though? Just leave the site running and rake in that house edge monies. Unless the guy is just a completely soulless bastard, or got hacked and decided to cut and run.

 Angry

Say it ain't so, Bobbax!

I quit playing on CCD a few weeks back, after I lost about 100 XMR gambling. I just decided that I had bad luck, and that I didn't want to lose any more precious Monero.

Seeing the controversy about DOGE, combined with my built-in skepticism (especially for anything crypto-related), further cemented my decision to avoid CCD.

But, I wanted to trust Bobbax. As did we all. I know, he could still surface with an explanation and return people's funds, but I have to think that this was all premeditated, with the site being down. thread being locked, etc.

I sure hope that this is resolved and that people get their coins back.

Thanks, but I assume responsibility for my putting my coins in the wrong place. And the loss is a lesson.
Just consider to remove any link or reference to Cryptocoins-Dice.com from any XMG site/thread.

Bobbax's phone number, which I promised to keep private (but obviously I do not feel tied by this promise anymore) is  0622150740. This is a French mobile number. Due to Charlie Hebdo events, police doesn't record complaint after 8 PM and today I had a general meeting (unrelated to crypto). Today, Il go back to the police station to see if I can register a complaint (it will be hard to explain, though). And if they are closed to the public on Sunday, I'll try again on Monday.

For the sake of completeness, I'll publich what I replied to conspirosphere.tk in a recent PM:

Quote
I talked with him on the phone (French mobile phone) on several occasions and for hours, including for debugging the site - accent was clearly French, not Belgian, Swiss or Quebec or Africa or foreigner. We also agreed to meet. First the 7th, then I had to postone to the 30th at the last minute because the places I wanted to show him were closed on week-end.

He basically abused me and since I put my reputation on this, you can imagine I feel very bad.

Everybody can make a mistake - even if it is real bad one (I have deleted the HR-Database from a real big (Top 5) executive consultant / accountant company in germany once - learning they don't have backups).

Thank you for your apology. Learn from it!

I lost about 1500 XMR, 500 of which was profit from investing in the house. Seems like a lot of work was put into the site just to steal some coins. I hope nobody lost too much.
