Hello Everyone,

I am trying to import my Multibit private key into Electrum. I've gone through the process but am being told by Electrum that it is an invalid key. Is there a way (other than the recommended way) to import a key?

In multibit export to file without password.

Open the file with a texteditor, it contains lines like this:

Note: DO NOT SHARE YOUR PRIVATE KEYS WITH ANYONE! I create this private key only for this post and would never use it otherwise.

Copy the private key (typically starting with L or K when exporting from multibit) and import it into Electrum.

Keep in mind that imported keys can not be restored from the seed.

Im not really here, its just your imagination.
