All those games already have their own in-game currencies... They don't need a blockchain based cryptocurrency. Runescape has gold, World of Warcraft has gold, League of Legends has gold, etc. They all have individual in-game currencies. There's no point for them to use a blockchain cryptocurrency since they would need centralized control(Its just games guys).
Exactly. That was my point. Firstly they don't need another currency, secondly they can create their own. They usually have an in-game currency and lots of different tokens.
So it would be surprising if Blizzard became one of the earlier adopters.

I doubt that too. Leading companies like Blizzard or Valve are usually looking at revolutions with some distance. They will be watching and if some other smaller companies will adapt bitcoin and it will go nice for them. Then probably Blizzard in anticipation of increased income will adapt bitcoin overnight.

Heck yes that would be super sweet to spend bitcoin in WoW and many other MMOs.  It's just another example of the proliferation and development of the almighty bitcoin market.  This is the cool thing about bicoin is how it can open doors to a whole new world of commerce.

Actually, just look at Second Life and how folks will sometimes convert Second Life Linders to BTC because it's one of the few ways to do so through Paypal.

Do the people actually coonvert Linders to BTC? I did not know that.... It would be great to have them adopt BTC and not having to jump through the PayPal loop to do it tho...

I think Blizzard should accept BTC on a wager system for multiplayer games in Starcraft. {They already have a good ranking system} They could also apply a minimum max bet.. eg. $0.50 per game...

A ingame tipping system will also help.... At the end of each game, if the other player played fair and there were no "nasty" comments... you could choose to tip him/her. {That would help to reduce the "rage" and "tantrum" outbreaks after the game ends}

I think bitcoin should be considered as part of a trading currency and that doesn't have to confine itself solely into wow alone. What I think is great is having something like a marketplace on what blizzard implemented earlier when you can actually trade diablo 3 items and gold using real currency before they abolished it. That would see high demand and bitcoin getting introduced to gamers

Blizzard is only interested in profit. so a centralized inhouse currency is best for them. If you're interested in bitcoin related games go check https://www.deckbound.com/ or http://playshare.io/

Blizzard is interested in profit! Dah! And you are not? Or anybody else here? We all want to earn money, that is no secret. And these games you linked, well, these are games intended to appeal to total bitcoin nerds. They are not exactly blockbusters AAA titles we want to see, but with implemented bitcoins transactions in them...

If the AAA titles does not support BTC and a no-name Indy title with BTC incorporated becomes popular, the AAA titles will follow the money and also start to consider accepting BTC
You should not underestimate the power BTC has to disrupt the gaming scene ^LoL^

Indeed. Imagine if a game like Minecraft starts accepting Bitcoin. AAA titles don't matter anymore, it's all about quality indie content.
