* Wishes these screenshots included actual date that graphs are showing instead of current date. *

The pattern is similar, how it's achieved is quite different. In January everyone was buying in a relief after crashing to $2s, it was sort of panic buying all the way to $7.2s something similar to what's been happening past summer's 'bubble'.   This summer is steady confident growth, there is no market panic or euphoria (disregarding breaking psychologically solid barrier of $10).

In January 40-50k BTC walls were effective and just their presence moved market back to $4 and kept around $5.  This time around walls stopped being effective, they were taken down one by one, and even attempt to crash the market from $9.5 to $7.5 few weeks ago in hope to bring it lower or keep it at $7s wasn't that successful, after two weeks delay market was back on track.

we're now building a triangle
whitch is not broken down:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=82626.msg1083545#msg1083545
(chart from yesterday)
the bears tried to break it down but failed last 2 days, so it's time for the bulls to rise? Wink

in January there was the support line broken,  which was after a resistance which did not break til 7.2, so after the blue support line on 16th was broken the trend changed:

it also could be interpretated as tripple (or 4times) top

for me these are 2 different situations...

i see a rise to 12 possible, triangle breakout will tell...

You can't step into the same river twice.  Better ponder on differences between now and then.

They're there, in their room.
Your mining rig is on fire, yet you're very calm.

<pondering>

That was then, and this is now.

That's the difference. It's all speculation. So no difference there.  Cheesy

The both look like proton streams from unlicensed nuclear accelerators.
