I got the box today .. close up, it looks like a Titan Miner  ( LKETC DRAGON MINER 30MH/s - http://titanminer.com/?product_cat=litecoin-miners) it powered up ..
everything ok with the IP configuration .. it does not connect to the give-me-coins pool Smiley heh

if you remember the SSH password please let me know, if not I guess I'll reimage the SD card .. and see what happens. Left some trust for you ..

Hello,
I'am happy that you have received your miner, i don't remember what was the password but i think that there was no need for a password you need only to connect then change the pool setting.

Yes, I select start now, then press submit, the thing says "status: running", the pool gets NO hash and if I go to "home" screen and then back to settings (or I refresh the screen) the status is again "status: stopped". I made an account at Ghash.io just for the sake if it .. after 15 min ... not even the worker shows up.

funny business .. how do I know I hash for myself and not for someone else? .. (that if the unit is hashing). I believe it's not, because it's not even warm. the fans are spinning and every possible light is up (1 red  & three green on each board), the raspberry pi seems  communicating (heck, I just accessed the UI) .. no access to the logs ..

If this miner ends up being DOA I'd be happy to attempt to help fix it.

Been doing this more often lately. Just PM me or post some pictures of what you're seeing on the hardware.

EDIT:

Was looking through an old thread on the SHA-256 Miners created by Dragon.

The say you need to change the default IP to something you choose then unplug it for two minutes (don't skip this) and then plug it back in. I can't tell from your screenshot if it is still stuck on the default.

I'm not even sure it's a Dragon .. the OP did not say what make is it .. until proven wrong, I guess he just used it "as is" .. he still has my trust.

Tried various Dragon SD images .. it was definitely stopped more than 12h after I changed the IP Grin

Another thread helped tremendously, (found an answer there as I was replying here) namely .. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=641400.msg10935744#msg10935744

Next time is a good idea to just do escrow. You are struggling to get it working (even if it works at all) and the seller is barely putting in any effort of helping you out.

That miner is working in skycoinlab for 8 months with no problem, very surprised that it did not work.

I'll need a little help Smiley Who is the manufacturer or re seller you bought it from ?

This thing does not connect to any pool Smiley and has no accessible logs ..

Can you look at the gateway, it should be your modem ip in my case it was 192.168.1.1 .

Please  update that then try again.

Thank you

Bad/corrupted cgminer config (once reconfigured  it started hashing). Hopefully the new ASIC manufacturers will understand at some point that one needs SSH access for troubleshooting.
I guess powering the unit up and down can lead to that if you click the pool/unit settings in the same time .. as well as some bad contacts on USB cables ..
Initially all boards were "green" .. now only 2 out of four are up and connected to the pool, hashing in average with about 17MH/s. Still tinkering with the remaining boards ..

I also think that it  was shaken badly during transport. One of the fan guards was touching the fan when it got here making a hell of a noise (84 dB) Grin

0.5 BTC including shipping can be done without escrow. In the worst case you buy a doorstop, but in this case, skycoinlab did not sell me one. He did his best to help me, for which I'm grateful.

Also, thanks for the refund offer, but no thanks Grin The fun is not being rich, but getting there .. hehe
